You just know that this is lying in wait. Or the president. Saving it up for PR effect.

    Ashley Cole to TFC?

    http://www.retesport.it/news/mercato...om%2BReteSport

"According calciomercato.it Ashley Cole would be next to the starting point: the direction MLS. Just in the last hours he is working with the termination of his contract, given the bad season and the limited use of the fullback. The most popular destination is the Toronto FC , Major League Soccer in which militate Bradley and Giovinco, and who in the past had tried Cole."

Doubt it unless we have space for another DP being opened up by the league or hes on something slightly under DP salary

I.E. he's played in Italy so he's one of our target's, supposedly.

If he's going to MLS he's going to NYCFC. Only team that fits.

Don't have any info to disagree about Ashley Cole, but I think it may reveal TFC summer signing strategy. Could they be seeking somebody that has six big months left in the tank because with the Argo groundshare clouds over the renewal process , TFC success might be now or never...

Well since we have two MLS-quality left backs, and need a right back, it would make sense to sign an expensive international left back...

    good to hear that.....
reminds me of Matt Bonner and the frequent sightings of him on the TTC during his raptors stint.

I hope Simonin can get some minutes again.. his long pass can be quite useful and add another dimension for our attack. All this assuming Caldwell remains out.

Yeah Luca would be a great signing even if only for 1 year. He would shred MLS defenders apart even at his age.

Bringing him in the summer window would mean it only counts as half the cap hit of his full yearly salary. I could see it happening since we might have more allocation, but we're going to have to move somebody. Once Caldwell is gone next year it will be easier to fit him in under the cap.

It doesn't appear he was making that much money at Parma. Would be a good pick up IMO.

In this league he's a solid defender. He wants to be here. He's 28. I hope it happens soon.
