Default Matchday 5: Toronto at Dallas, Sat 18 Apr 830pm

    TV: TSN 4

Dallas is on a mini slump, losing their last 2, incl a 4-0 beatdown from lowly Rapids at home. Could be the best time to play Dallas away. Or, TFC could be playing their traditional role of slump buster.

Dallas won't lack motivation. Man, that Colorado game was heinous. Major talent at that club, though.

I really hope we can put together something for this game. Even if it is just a point. With that said I've started 3 Dallas players on my fantasy team.

Get ready for thug ball - their defence is crude. Nobody is going to be happy with the ref.

And, once again, speed along the flanks is their strength.

According to Vanney, Caldwell out for a while, Simonin out for an unknown time, Bloom possible. Perquis expected. Possibility of Jackson or Delgado as RB.

Jackson was a disaster at RB last season. Give Delgado a shot.

We are looking forward to this match.
Most MLS teams have played five or six matches and the Whitecraps have played seven.
Too long between matches for TFC!

Elfath is one of the better refs in MLS. That's not saying much, of course.

MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

I only expected to win one game this road trip, and this definitely wasn't one of them. The backline is still gutted and if Diaz is back pulling strings in the midfield for FCD, we're in for a long night. I'm guessing 3-1 Dallas.

Need to win this one badly. A draw would be tolerable. Another loss could seriously hurt team morale.

Or, it could just be another loss, and the team might bounce back against inconsistent and mostly incompetent teams in Orlando and Philly. so many possibilities.

Meh this is not a "must" anything.

I'm just glad this team doesn't have any more large gaps. Scheduling so far has been attrocious.

Would be quite shocked if we won and Bekker didn't score.

Leiweke said he expected 6-9 points from the 7 game road trip. That sounds about right to me. 9 points would be excellent. Still a chance we can do that. I don't think we have been outplayed at all this season so I'm definitely optimistic.

Absolutely. I can't imagine why Jackson is even being spoken about as a back. Everyone was up in arms when Nelsen started him there twice in a row last season.

I know his crossing was poor but he was much more effective as a winger; actually contributes there, causes problems.

We have played these guys in midsummer heat more often than not. Getting there in April is a break.

Jackson does have that ability to dribble past a defender 1v1. It's just his ability to finish and crossing sucks.

Didn't have to do much here, although I notice his first touch was a little heavy. http://www.mlssoccer.com/video/2015/...jeff-attinella

He seemed pretty good when played there against RSL. I know he was basically being asked to play as a very attacking wingback, but still. seemed promising. everyone except Creavalle has looked good at FB this year.

Who the hell knows. If Colorado could thump these guys 4-0 anything is possible.

Don't start Creavalle and hope for the best.

Right, slipped my mind. Well that's good news.

With Altidore missing the USA match I hope he's raring to go this weekend.

    Bloom/Delgado-Hagglund-Perquis-Morrow
    Jackson---Warner---Cheyrou---Osorio
    ------------------------Giovinco
    ---------------Altidore

The roster isn't built to anything other than 4-4-2
