Theyre probably not going to win anyway. So you can be happy your team ranked like #1224th in the world is still close to its rival ranked #1350. Fuck theyre creepin up on #1329 Mumbai FC!!
I'm just going to leave these here:

And there's about five more or so to go with them. So shall we say you just proved my point?

After Santos Laguna put a beat down on Montreal a few years back. The next TFC game in Montreal, I put "Quintero 28" in hockey tape on the back of TFC kit.

the scheduling ensures that MLS teams are getting the raw end of the stick going into the tournament.

however, montreal made the finals despite this, and have been given every opportunity by the league to succeed. america didn't have Liga MX shuffling the schedule around. they played a game on saturday, played tonight, fly back home tomorrow, train on friday and have another game saturday. it's been like this, for them, for the entire tournament.

i'd say that negates my previous points and makes it even.

So sorry for all you guys who failed to see an Impact win being good for the MLS and soccer in Canada , soccer is not mainstream in Canada there are still many in the media who hate soccer with a passion, even today most media did not even mention this game don't even know what it is. Soccer is just not that big of a deal to hate on a team from your country and league yet here in Canada, anyways can't change someone's mindset it is what it is.

This is awesome. Well done America. I don't think I could live in a world where the Montreal fucking Impact are CCL champions.

Both teams had the same number of Canadians in the starting line-up...

As much as it would have been good for MLS and Canadian Soccer, it's better this way. We'd have to listen to their gloating shit for the rest of time. No good can be worth giving those insufferable bastards that kind of ammo to increase their gloating potential.

Now back to normal at the arse of the MLS table where they belong.

The Impact represent Montreal. Even if it is good for Canadian soccer by some measure, I will not support them, ever.

I hope America pumps three more past them.

As much as Montreal will complain about the officiating in this tie, they seem to forgot about that debacle in the Canadian Cup...

you don't put your chances against a much better team, you deserve nothing
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

The other good thing from this result is that it will hopefully point to problems with MLS's pitiful salary cap at building teams that could sustain an entire cup campaign.

MLS will always go flipshit over whatever MLS team advances furthest until it isn't an unusual thing. That would come true in a flash if they put more than League One money into the salary cap. /rant

You ever think that the main reason why there is a salary cap and the money is the way it is, where will the money come from to support higher salaries, there are still far too many teams getting lousy attendances, the TV ratings are pathetic, this league is just not big enough yet to support bigger salaries yet, it is what it is, obviously many on here are far too young to remember the old NASL and the collapse of that league because of runaway salaries.

For the sake of argument: can't we just say that rather than spending money on 2nd and 3rd DPs this league would benefit from more balance across the field?

It gets a little tiring seeing such a huge drop off when someone goes down with an injury.
