Anyone else think Dike looks a bit slow so far?

Oh that's crap.
That was quite a break down. Feel bad for Bono.
Need to settle in here.

That looked TFC defence circa 2012.
I like calling some of Toronto FC's starters from 2014
The B team lol
Homer ref.
NY B team basically playing better than the A team. Probably some hungry young players trying to earn a spot.
Oh you have got to be kidding me!
F*ck, Chapman!
Just taaaaaaaaap it in...

LOL oh that's gonna end up on some 240p compilation of worst soccer misses.
Vanney leaving them out there to figure it out.
So we're looking at an early start time Sat.

apparently Morgan was a homegrown allstar in portland? 0_o
dike goes down holding his left leg 0_0 hopefully nothing buy this guy is made of glass.
Does anyone else find it slightly ridiculous that we played our B team against an MLS side and for our final pre-season match before we kick off our season, our A team will face a U-23 side?
Redbull would have been a better warm up for the starters, Yes/no?
I understand Vanney wants the starters use to playing once a week, this also gives me the belief that we will not be heading back to champions League play until we've reach the playoffs in league play. I suspect the side we saw against Redbull will be the side playing in mid week Voyagers cup matches.
So unless the B team improves drastically between now and then, we're sunk imo. The Caps and Impact will be bringing their A game most likely.
BTW, I'm super jealous of the fact that the Caps have Robinson as their manager, by all appearances he seems to have them playing great soccer, he seems far more confident than Vanney as a manager, and so far has been a very shrewd evaluator of talent. Wish we have never fucked him by sending him to Redbull, maybe then he'd have been in our system.
there is suppose to be one more game on Sat IIRC
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
It seems reversed from matching like for like but its preseason when experiments occur. Vanney mentioned the schedule but it could be other strategic reasoning he doesn't wish to divulge.
Like yourself I will revisit this policy if he repeats it during Vcup.
I don't agree with it but playoffs are the unstated goal once again. At least they aren't guaranteeing it this year. One less thing that could go wrong.

Some coaches do have the mindset that you never play an opposing side with your starting-11 prior to league competition. Whether that be right or wrong, to each their own - but its definitely a theory, strategy that many enforce...
Also, some feel that warmup games against lower opposition is better. Squash matches (I don't agree with this at all but its out there). Commonly used in NCAA Football where a DI will beat the holy hell out of some poor DIII team prior to the season for confidence. (different type of spot I know, but some believe this to be the best way in other sports). Of course this can backfire, if said low-level teams gives you a go...
I have no idea if this is the case - but it's something other coaches employ so it could be the same here...
Carts...
