MLSE has to start recovering part of their investment in the stadium renovation. I expect a Winter Classic to be announced soon as well.

Rogers had already said Grey Cup can still be played in Skydome, as it's long enough after baseball to allow for conversion.
So TFC can play in Skydome.
Either we can be bitter, or we can hope we have 50,000 in Skydome watching MLS semi-finals ... .and it's snowing and -10C for those watching the Grey Cup outside.

aren't the naming rights for the stadium up at year end.
So its probably going to have a different name next year.. thats probably why MLSE is doing this ... maximize $$$ for stadium rights

It's not our house. It's Bell and Tannenbaum's house to do what the fuck they please with it. And if it means having Gio, the General, and the rest play on a plastic pitch with CFL lines and advertising still visible, then everybody needs to get the fuck used to it. Give us a new stadium and well call it even, but seriously the only acceptable solution for me is to roll turf over the grass, but my biggest fear is BMO over the years will slowly turn into the home of the Argo's where were going to see all their banners go up around the stadium.
