Just drove by. Seats are covered blue or have a free shirt on em
The amount of marketing that has gone into this Argos at BMO game...you'd think it was the Super Bowl.
I just puked in my mouth seeing the blue seats.
They are tshirts apparently
Are they going to give out 30,000 T-shirts every game?
EDIT: Well, enough T-shirts to cover the televised seats.
Toronto 'til I die - but I think they're trying to kill me.
I'm kind of jealous. They have a stadium wide TIFO in there first game there and we have never had one
ah dunno. Looks like they are trying to do some sort of crowd display. Not sure it has anything to do with red seats as any type of temporary fix seems like a pointless waste of time and money to me.
BMO has turned Double Blue - don't look while eating

Whether they use seat covers (which would cost a mint to put in every time) or shirts, I don't care. It will be red a week Saturday.
Frankly, that's a smart move borrowed from the NBA and the NHL who do things like that all the time.
i.e. If we get a playoff game, expect something similar although its going to be freaking cold.
*******
All this is noise.
Its all about the pitch.

I guess nothing, if that's what you want - but I think it's pretty similar to FO organized marches and piping in songs. Remember how much everyone hated the overhead that Frei painted when they thought it was organized by FO?
Is what the Argos did really a TIFO anyway? I mean, it's a pregame thing - if I tune in at kick off will I notice it? If people put on the T-shirts, which it doesn't really look like they are, that will be different.

Of course, there are a lot of people who won't wear the shirts because they are there for the Ti-Cats.

TSN's coverage hits more like cheeseball advertising. This is so mega! Thought they covered the league, not just Argos? To have the desk hosts in the parking lot wearing full-on blue ... bush.
Hmm....
Yeah, that's appealing to a very different crowd then TFC. Marching band, Hedley dude warbling the anthem to all the millenials that voted for him on Canadian Idol when they were 9 (hey, I'm a dad of a mellenial) , tons of piped in music (sounds good with the roof).
Love the Argos suck chants heard when TSN came back to the anthem.
Like, I wish em well and all but they are really overpushing that tailgating thing.
As usual, TSN directors avoiding empty seats - par for the course.
Gosh, they are treating this like its the Grey Cup. Coin toss coverage?!?!?!
Hmm...upper levels a bit sparse. Havn't seen pics of the south yet.
Loud place, that would be the stadium roof. Well it was loud until the Argos had issues on their first drive.
During the pre-game show people were saying things like: brand new stadium, new field, even "dedicated to the Argos", if you didn't live in Toronto you would think it was just built. Chris Cuthbert was the only one who said it right and used the word 'renovated'
Just saw a video on the Voyageurs Forum someone posted on the Montreal Impacts new training facility for it's team and academy, I hate to say it but it looks even better than TFC's KIA Academy training site it has more bells and whistles, and they don't have to share any of it with their CFL team like TFC does with the Argos even their training facility what a joke!
Anthem was sung horribly.
And I just can't get into 3 down football, not for me.

Heres a crappy pic of it.
Ok so what did they do to the seats to get them to look like that and is this something they will do for all their games?
Looks like we are seeing the first few divots.. https://twitter.com/louisbutko/status/746135076451291136
8 minutes to go, Ticats handily winning, stadium now about half full. They are claiming 24K attended - couldn't really tell from the pics but may be right.
As stated before, Toronto either supports a winner or the sport. Not sure there is enough of the latter to make up for the lack of the former.
Argos FO got work to do on a few fronts. Rickey Ray ain't no Anthony Calvillo.
Turf wearing down issues likely between the two bench tarps and between those tarps and the sideline. Not seeing much between the hashes.
No rain of course.
