What's really needed is a broad set of staircases and covered walkway across the Gardiner and railway tracks so that Argos fans can walk from the Ex grounds parking lots to their new home at Lamport Stadium.
why is he here^^^
Mayor Tory is doing a tour of the stadium's progress today and media will be there. We're sending a reporter and I'll make sure to post video of the tour ASAP. Event is @ 11 am.
I drove by the south end last night and the pictures do not do justice on how massive a change it is with the concourse and covered areas.
That East stand is very overpowering. It will take some getting used to for sure.

^^ Grass is looking nice and lush in that pic. The delay should at least mean a good pitch to play on...
i love that there will be 8,000 more people roaring after a goal.
but, i already miss the skyline shots.

So committed to natural grass and a $1M reinforced turf field for other things that don't deserve mentioning here. Of all possible, realistic outcomes, this is the best one we have.
Looking good so far, except North end, looks like it does not belong, hopefully it will get expanded in future to close up the gap.

personally think its the south side taht looks out of place. needs an upper deck, be a good wind blocker too.
wonder how the wind will be in this giant tunnel, with all those corner gaps
It's looking fantastic. Really hoping to see some full crowds for this.. all we need is a winning team. Also.. it's going to look amazing with a roof as well.
Leiweke says stadium is over budget. Wouldn't say by how much, but it's a lot. Also mentioned that are very hopeful that they can manage to have a shorter away span at the start of next season. I didn't get catch the first part but it sounds like some features may not be fully finished (come may 10?), however he did say that everything is on schedule.
James Moore @jamesontheradio 48m48 minutes ago Toronto, Ontario Elevators won't be done by #TFC opening home game, early next month. Officials promise the project is otherwise on schedule. #TOpoli
Wow those stands seem pretty far back from the field. I guess sitting in them will be the final call but the slope looks very gradual.
Edit: I stand corrected... Watching the video they look like they have more of an incline.

don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.
I think you might be allergic to facts/truth.
Some elevators were open when this article was written.

this would mean some are working. But some elevators aren’t finished, and much mechanical and electrical work is incomplete, Davis said.
Here's the video I promised earlier:
Toronto’s BMO Field renovations delayed, over budget
I'm adding more clips from TL, Hunter, etc. in a little bit.

One of the top videos right now. Some errors in the video, but good to get some news exposure.
I wonder, with Phase 1 already over budget, and TL leaving soon, how sure are we that even the roof will still happen?
