I really hope for shits and giggles that someone from the FO is putting together a timelapse or something - that would be cool.

They're not selling single game tickets, so obviously they are privately worried about it.

TFC were asked that on twitter and indicated those would be on sale in early April. Seems an OK strategy to focus on the SS as long as possible.

PCL is behind the construction right? Based on my experience with their work in Edmonton, they are very organized and efficient. I've no doubt they'll complete this on time.

Take a look what they've done in just over 1 year on the Rogers Place arena. http://www.rogersplace.com/live-view/

I know from frequent past experience that this is not what they have done previously - they historically went to mini packs by early February, and single game sales in late February. Of course they have an extra 6 weeks because of the late season opener, so can't say for sure.

Seems to me they would want to sell single games by the time the season starts, they are losing sales based on some level of trial interest generated by last Saturday's game

What? Really?? They're going to screw them in one at a time? Lol that kinda sucks, I thought they would come in rows.

Side note: happy to see that the seats are red, and not white (keep argos out)

    Betya that guys supports Benfica.

If somebody in PR were smart, they'd be asking some of the construction guys about their connections to football and what it means to be helping to work on the national football stadium.

Puff piece for sure, but good publicity.

1st seats in on the (upper half) of the east side, but looks like plenty of work to get BMO Field ready for early May

    1) you are correct in assuming he's portuguese, you have a 75% chance of winning that bet
2)most of the boxes were sodl to contractors (no one wanted them back in the day)
3)I worked at PCL when they built the exanpasion, they usually have large bonuses for finishing early. They will make it happen
    4) lets hope they dont leave screws on rafters this time, remember the scare when ppl thougth BMO was falling apart after teh first game or two

If the team is sitting on 12 points in by the opener it is going to be packed.

On the bright side, this year they'll be providing screwdrivers to all the SSH for the final game, so that you can take your seat with you as a souvenir, when they convert them to Argos colours.

I agree it's a basic design, cement and more cement, it'll be all up to the tradesmen now with plumbing and electricians, and the like. But with new suites I expect those to be a bit tricky. Kitchens, stove, electrical. Will the new sections be winterized.? As far as fire code the major work is done, simply access and egress to get out. Don't think they'll have fire alarm systems or sprinklers. God I hope they have foolproof rails because non of these photos don't do it justice. It is Steep!... Amazing view.

Is it common to just bolt the seats on the concrete like that? Two things came to mind:
    - Can't put your drink or bag or anything else under your seat. In the old areas of the stadium, that's a nice place to hide things.

    - If it's a cold day, doesn't it make even colder to be sitting almost right on the concrete like that?

Hopefully the end product is nice, but the stadium looks like crap. And they ruined that view of downtown

And they ruined that view of downtown Do people go to the match to watch the game or see the views? If you want to see the view just go to the nearest condo tower to look and let someone who wants to see a live pro football match have the ticket.

Typically there are steel mounts drilled into the precast. The seats are then attached to those. Without asking them I'd guess the pic was staged to show they are ready for that phase.

I agree the new photos look a bit staged. thypically those types of seats are used for the light grey/yellow price points, and this was done at row 4 of midfield, which theyre likely charging 80 bucks a game for.
Luckily, the reno spared my seats, but I think they really botched the thing. is the lower level remaining steel, with an upper concourse of concrete? I think it would have been better to scrap the east side completely, and build something that maintained the intimate feel of BMO Field.
These seats appear to be a mile from the action, and geared more towards the Argo crowd. They went about 10 rows too high.
I could be wrong of course, we wont know until it's completed, and then again when the roof is added in phase 2.
