Big announcements are never roster related. Unless their retiring i.e.: Donavan

If they're getting grass or hybrid turf, then it's great news for Canada (national team will play games there) and Whitecaps (who can sign better players).

    Carl Robinson signs multi-year contract.

What a waste of "big" announcement.

Really! That's all for an 'announcement'- Robinson keeps his job. good for Robinson and Vancouver but a bit anti-climactic

Won't happen until after the WWC if that's the case. The FIFA rules stipulate that all tournament games must be on the same type of surface for all venues. It explains why they tore out the grass in Moncton, why BMO field isn't being used, and why no matter how I lobbied TD Place in Ottawa got turf instead of a Hybrid surface.
