    Like Laba ....pure technique..../skill

In all seriousness I hope we keep Moore. He's cheap (half Oduro's wages) and seems to be a team player. Also wasn't too shabby on the wing when we tried a 433.
He is also very good when coming on late in the game, definitely a keeper.

Yeah if i remember correctly he did. That makes it even worse. So funny between those thinking were breaking the rules with 4 DPs and how much money we spend its a great time to be a supporter of the Reds.

Gilberto should be traded before the season start's I don't believe it's a good thing keeping him when the season start's if he has a good first 2 to 3 months and then get's a transfer it won't look good on toronto fc and the fans won't like it one bit

I'm fine with Gilberto staying here for the spring. If he does light it up, he can either be kept around, or transferred to a european team in the summer transfer period garnering a higher price.

If you're British, sorry!. But besides the foreign heavy (players/coaches) Premier League(money) The whole approach to the game is not the model to follow.

    The international record shows that.

Only thing I give the British system is the overall fitness of the players. Style of play and tactical knowledge of the game is weak.

And there's nothing petty about what I said its the truth. I been following TFC since inception and well aware of how the club has been run since that time.

I have watched people chase skilled footballers out of town, to champion hacks and water carriers because they came their favourite hometown team.

Does it matter where a player comes from?............No!!

But when you keep bringing the same type of player/coach to fit some rudimentry outlook to the game and appease one segment of the Toronto footballing community, then thats where the problem is.

While Talented footballers like Urruti, Silva, and Laba some how find their way out so we can play with track stars and water carriers with a whole lot of "Pace and power" but no IQ and awareness to show.
And yet Winter was not a rudimentary look. You can't have it both ways. Either the team has always done things the rudimentary way or they've tried other ways and couldn't get it right. You are trying to pigeonhole MLS teams play into a national style and flagrantly generalizing and or oversimplifying what the makeup of MLS squads are.

I suppose how this relates to this thread at all is that now we have more than a couple of NON water carriers and we will see what kind of football we play.

But if the lads play any nations style truly, I will be gobsmacked.

Yeah, I'm stoked about Bono. I predict he will earn the starting role with the first team by next season.

I'll go further and predict he will be starting some early point this season and earn #1 either before or after Gold Cup. I think that Bendik, Jackson and Oduro are on the trading block...

I don't see the need to get rid of Jackson at all. Oduro sure, not Jackson. Jackson has a reasonable salary for the job he does and provides a unique skill that can be quite valuable. that just seems like turnover for turnovers sake. I don't want him to be a penciled in starter but he could be quite useful if we're not relying on him to create all the time.

Song idea: the chorus of U2’s The Sweetest Thing, sung as: " oh-oh-ohhhh, he's our Bono"

It is just a hunch, not a stirring demand. The low salary that makes him worthy of keeping also makes him attractive to other teams. The observation was made somewhere that teams will look to have two players of the same language/nationality to reduce isolation. If Gilberto is sold does anyone else speak Brazilian Portuguese on TFC? My hunch is that TFC now prefers an Italian speaking winger....
