    Default What to Watch?

Below is the opening schedule for this weekend. What games do you plan to watch on this opening weekend, and where will you be watching? Myself, I'll PVR TFC tomorrow night and watch it after kiddies go to bed (Disney XD until then). May record Orlando NYCFC on Sunday as well. Both will be watched from the comfort of my couch with a couple cans of Guinness.

    Any viewing parties planned?

I'm going to try to catch some of Orlando vs NYCFC, just to see how those 60K of Lion fans bring it.

    &

Houston vs. Columbus cause all the prognosticators are saying Columbus is a for real top 2 East team while Houston keeps yabbering away about their manager.

Seattle vs NER has lost a bit of lustre with Jones out with a sports hernia

Anyone know if LA/CHI will be shown in Canada tonight? so far it seems only options is MLSLIVE. would be nice to see first kick.

TO of course with a whole lotta pints after the frustration of not knowing if they would play.

Yeah, it's a curiosity thing for me. I want to see how the Lions fans welcome their team to MLS. Plus there's the the whole Kaka vs. Villa thing. Also curious to see what ESPN does with their regular 5pm Sunday game in terms of coverage and presentation.

EDIT: Anyone currently in Newfoundland read this board? I wouldn't mind watching from a pub with any like-minded folks. I tend to get jealous hearing of all your viewing parties in T-Dot. Probably a question for /r/MLS.

Unless you have a VPN, probably zero. Anything on TSN1,2,3, OR 4 is blacked out this season as a "national" broadcast.

It's total bullshit, but if your computer says you're in Florida, you should be okay. Alternately, get adblock and try searching "cricfree"....

Soccer Club vs Football Club.... barring a draw, I'll know what to call it.

Oh, I stream, just was hoping to be able to go back and see things....one of the best bits about mlslive.

Looking at TSN's schedule, they seem to be only carrying the Van TFC and the Seattle NER games.

    Adblock/Ad-freetime work with MLS Live?

I checked in my MLS Live account, and selected "Are these games available?" The only one that's listed as being blocked for the whole weekend is the TFC - Vancouver game. Not sure how reliable that is, but generally that worked for me in the past.

Otherwise the VPNs seem to solve that problem.

I had very mixed results with VPNs last year, so much so that I gave up on MLS Live. Rogers owns the Jays and partially owns TFC. Yet MLB At.Bat doesn't black out any Jays games - so that's where my money went this year.

What are you using MLS Live on? PC, iPad, etc? And what VPN service are you using that works for it?

Streams - use an ad block. 6 options.

wiziwig went down on Jan 1st - they used to have everything.

firstrow does OK usually, but obscure games tend to have 1 option.

Warning the game will be in Spanish.

Landon Donovan (in Spanish) praising Toronto FC less than 2mins into season opener show. TFC have again grabbed a lot of offseason attention

Well, that's too bad. 3 of the links that work have some makeup infomercial on - same on atdhe24.net too, which has usually been pretty reliable.

If anyone discovers any more streams, please post them.

MLS Live is the way to go.

Basically $75 American ( Even though we give them all their oil) and $100 Canadian (Because we're too stupid to have our own refineries).

Use a VPN service and you're off!
