Benoit Cheyrou, is a solid pick up. I'm impressed.
As far as formation im betting on 4-4-2.
-------------------------------Bendik----------------------------
Bloom------------Perquis------------------Caldwell--------Morrow
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Osorio------------Cheyrou----------------Bradley---------Giovinco
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------Findley------------------Altidore----------------
He does seem to be good at finding late runs.
I am over all looking at this team and it's hard not to notice a top midfield
I also stated before in a post that I have watched perqius and I know toronto will love him good player
Just watching some highlights of Perquis' game. Looks like he's a decent long range passer as well (1:25):
If Bradley plays a similar role to Will Johnson at Portland, I don't see why he wouldn't score at least as many as WJ has been able to. Probably around 10 goals with late runs forward. And I can see Altidore scoring 20 goals this season with vastly improved service over what we've had previous years. Gio will also be good for at least 10 goals. Add in tertiary scoring from other forwards like Findley and Moore, and we should be fine. There's no reason to project previous years goal totals on this squad
There will be a learning curve for this group under Vanney's tutelage, and some of our key players that are new to the league will take time to adjust. I think our offense will start clicking when the players develop a sense of cohesion, but until then, I would be conservative with my projections. I would be happy with the following goal production:
Altidore - 15
Giovinco - 10
Moore - 5
Bradley - 5
Findley - 5
Jackson - 5
Dike - 5
That's 50 goals from these players alone if they play to their potential. They have all proven they can score at that level in the past.
Giovinco with 16 goals in 2012 for Parma. Bradley with 16 goals in Everdise, Altidore with 20 plus. All 3 are being paid huge, #dothejob. I'm hoping for more to be honest. Jones earns half of what Bradley makes, expectations should be higher for him. 5 goals from Dike would be nice. I also predict Haglund takes over for Caldwell and scores 5-7.
Giovinco is officially coming early as per the Juventus English account:

Giovinco has today left the club to begin his new adventure with FC Toronto. Good luck, Seba! http://juve.it/IkqmZ
I call him our Mesut Ozil, would still like him to score some goals though. Despite paying him 6.5 million i'm fine with that role for him even in MLS. I always thought we should use him as an attacker but with Giovinco He needs to know that and not take penalties and important free kicks would you agree? I really didn't like him taking away those close free kicks and penalties rom Gilberto considering that was the sole purpose he was here.
Giovinco is on his way to TFC. Yea!
@JohnMolinaro: Juventus confirms Giovinco has left the club to join #TFC
Not sure who this guy is(Brad Humber) but Ives retweeted this
@djcuse: Gilberto will make his official move to Vasco in Brazil from Toronto FC later on today or Tuesday. #TFC
Well the team seems set and assuming they go to a 4-2-3-1 structure:
Goalie Bendik/Konopka
Defence Right Bloom/Creavalle
Defence Centre Caldwell/Zavaleta
Defence Centre Perquis/Hagglund
Defence Left Morrow/Morgan
Midfield Hold Bradley/Warner
Midfield Hold Cheyrou/Jackson
Midfield Attacking Winger Right Findley/Delgado
Midfield Attacking Winger Left Osorio/Lovitz
Midfield Attacking Centre Giovinco/Hamilton
Striker Holding Altidore/Moore/Dike
Orosio and Jackson may move around more since they can play a number of positions. Hamilton may need more seasoning to crack the first team. Also he needs to play so sitting on the bench might not be in his best interest.
I am really interested to see if they go into the season with four GKs on the roster. Bendik, Konopka, Roberts and Bono. From what I gather they still count against the 30 man roster even if loaned to TFC 2.
Remember The Man, The Legend, The Goal 5-12-07 and All That #9 Left On The Pitch, Thanks For The Memories !!!
If Gilberto's move is a loan, it might not be a bad situation for us. It leaves the door open for his potential return once the CBA is sorted out (if there is a 4th DP slot for which he may qualify).
I have a feeling Bendik is on short leash, its going to be his 3rd year starting and if his distribution doesn't improve I could easily see TFC replace him quickly with any of the other 3. He has starting defensive/midfield players that can play the ball out the back except for Caldwell, he has no excuse to not trust his players with the ball at their feet.
Altidore 35
Moore 1
Findley 22
Giov. 0 (obviously a bust)
Bradley. 0
Osorio 1
Jackson 2
Lovitz 16
Aparicio 18
Defence 25
That's how the season will go. Book it.
TFC once again wins the offseason. Will this be the year they actually win during the season?
Bendik's not even average, he's at the bottom of starting keepers in save percentage, and also terrible in the advanced metrics like keeper xGa, distribution and box control. He's the glaring weak spot in the team right now. He's still young but he has so many issues that he's more of a career backup than a starter on a playoff team.
