Man, there are so many good players released. Carlos Alvarez went like 2nd in the 2013 Draft to Chivas, Andrew Driver, Wynne, Sal Zizzo, Andy Gruenebaum etc etc... Hopefully TFC can secure some real talent.

Until the expansion draft, no use picking somebody up that you actually want.

Kid has a Canadian dad, so will count as a domestic. Good to expand the talent pool, even if this will piss off some Voyageurs

With his Dad being Canadian can he still potentially play for Canada?

As much as I consider myself pro Voyaguer, this stuff needs to continue to happen

he'll have to file a one time switch, if I read the rules correctly.

don't see this kid playing for Canada though

I don't know how I'd feel about that. Would be quite hypocritical of us to hope he gets capped for Canada.

Who cares....we only say this because it happens to us all the time.
It would be nice to be on the positive end....if you know what I mean

SKC struggling to re-sign Collin under the cap: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/articl...s-cap-casualty

No brainer signing for me if he's available, I just don't know exactly how he'd be available to us in the wacky world of MLS "free agency".

it would be either the "holy hell quit sucking" allocation or "for the love of god, stop bleeding money" random super secret draw.
With Chivas gone, we're number 1 in the first, and the only team ever to be part of the second.

Am I the only one that doesn't want Collin at ALL? Every time he plays us he's a massive fucking douche, and if you watch MLS Games in Six you get to see even more of his stellar personality. He's just asking for someone to knock him out. Biggest cunt in MLS imo.

amado guevara was one of biggest douchebags in MLS too. you perform, your supporters won't hate you (well, in most cases)

on the pitch, he was quite a wanker (well, esp before his TFC days)

I don't recall him ever being a dick, but I feel like if it came from him it was more just because of his passion for the game. Collin is a straight up thug.

I don't even want to get into the antics he used to pull while playing for Honduras

We need a level headed CD that will lead the back line in 2016 and beyond.

    Collin is not that guy.

Does anyone know what's happening with Torres? I know him coming here would probably never happen, but he is a great talent, and so young!

You are not the only one. He seems like an ass every game I have watched him. I don't want any asses on the team.

he's mostly an ass on the pitch. but he wins games. we're not in position to turn down winners

Collin is good for some goals every year, he's tough, and he's not old. If you want an experienced MLS centre half, I don't know why you wouldn't want him.

I agree - I don't like him being an ass when he plays against us; but I wouldn't mind having his personality on my side. Hes very smart with his challanges. He gets a feel for the ref, and then hovers on the fine line.

As always in a budget league, it comes down to value.
For the right price, I'd take him.

But for what he's rumoured to be seeking (approaching DP-level money), NO THANKS!
