Carver's post match comments. Helpful or suicidal?
I have a fair amount of time for John Carver and recognise the squad limitations he has, and this is not the thread to beat up on Mo for failing to deliver a striker.
However, last night's comments (see News section -T Star- for the quotes) specific to certain players was NOT the way to gain the respect of those pros.
We know Cunningham is a lazy useless twat, that Marvell lacks positional sense ( don't we have coaches for this stuff?), and that Guevara flits in and out of games, but should Carver be slagging individuals off to the press?
My 2 cents...it loses the dressing room. Once you've lost the respect of the players, as a coach there is only one outcome cos you can't fire all the players...

Terrible idea, IMO. Especially calling out the city as a whole!
These things are to be kept in the locker room, or the little confidence our boys have will be lost. A good manager actually deflects attention from a poor performance -- they blame the ref, the other manager, etc. -- they don't highlight it.
