epic fail by Philly GK and a wonderful chip by Earnshaw gifts Fire a 1-1 draw at Philly

That was such a dumb dumb dumb play by the Union. Once Earnshaw had the ball I knew it was a goal. Thanks Earnie!

Huge result for us. Big goal for Robbie doing us a soild for sure. Hopefully we get some more good luck this week especially with our tough game against LA.

Earnshaw did us a huge favour there.

Wasn't that a horrible give away by the 'keeper?

Well, if we want to get superstitious, let's remember that TFC's last game of the season is away; on plastic turf; in a large & sparsely-attended NFL stadium; at a time of the year where we can expect lousy weather perhaps even a big rain storm; against an opponent for whom this may well be a meaningless game; whereas TFC may have everything to play for. Who knows, maybe TFC will only need to draw in that game to make it to the playoffs...

It was one give away that I am sure he will be thinking about for a while, knowing it could cost the Union a spot in the post-season. TFC has two games in hand on Philly.

So what exactly do we want in the NY-Houston game?

    A draw I guess.

Houston win would be better for us. They have very little chance of making the playoffs. They're 4 points behind us with same number of games. They need a lot of help.

It's likely going to come down to us or NY for the last spot. Every point will be crucial. If NY loses then it wouldn't be a big deal IF we lose to LA, because we'd still be 1 points back with a game in hand on NY.

even if Houston wins vs NY, TFC plays Houston on Wed and a TFC win pretty much puts Houston out of contention

Yea, I'm thinking a Houston win would be better, just because I have more faith in our ability to beat them than LA. I want NYRB to lose as many as possible heading into the game against them.

Also, I would love to see DC beat SKC tonight as well. A loss for SKC puts them right in the mix with all the other teams jockeying for the playoffs. I'm good with NE and DC being 1-2 in whatever order.

Looks like I'm going to be watching a lot of MLS this weekend! Love being in contention at this point in the year.

For sure, a Houston win is best. A tie may be OK but it's risky.

Of course if we get a point out of LA, that changes everything.

We all know the real story of the Earnshaw goal is that it's Chicago's 17th tie game this year! 17 in 32 games! Chicago has the 3rd fewest losses in all of MLS too. The flip side being they have the fewest wins, but that's beside the point

Same here, especially 'cause I took a hard shot off the big toe at indoor soccer last night and I'm pretty sure it's fractured.

They scheduled the games on Sunday perfectly, at 3pm/5pm/7pm. No overlap!

Houston win would be better I think. At this point we need to be looking ahead of us, not behind us.

I'd rather play a Houston team that thinks they are out of it, than one that thinks they have a lot to play for in a head-to-head matchup with TFC. Tie works for me.

Interesting stuff going on around the Red Bulls atm

Dan Dickinson@GothamistDan51s51 seconds ago4-0 loss at LA. Team sale story. Houlier on Henry leaving. Cahill retweeting articles about being benched. If this isn't a crisis, what is?

Cahill has been an afterthought for NYRB most of the season - except for the odd headed goal.

I think that is stunning stuff from Cahill, and I will bet anyone $100 that Bradley wouldn't say that and will be here next week.

Club vs country isn't a conflict for 99% of players when their clubs are playing critical games.

Found a solid stream for DC United and SKC.
