I don't really understand why you wouldn't take anyone. What's the downside?
Looking more and more like we passed.. what a disappointment. Don't understand if this is true, a lot of salvageable options out there, and even if players won't agree to an acceptable salary, what's the risk of trying? Worst case you release the player to free agency afteR?
San Jose selected Wynne, so there goes that option.
Total MLS@TotalMLS 32s32 seconds ago San Jose selects Marvell Wynne and Sainey Nyassi.
For those hoping we'd get Wynne back, looks like he's gone to SJ instead.

Ha, it's almost as if Bez was too busy with the vision meeting with the press that he forgot about the draft.
And there it is... we did nothing!
Toronto FC@torontofc 31s32 seconds ago Just In: Toronto FC passed with the 6th pick in Phase II of the @MLS Re-Entry Draft.
MLS Cup runners up still found something worth picking up for free with one of the last picks... but TFC apparently just says no thanks with #6 pick.

I find it pointless to get worked up over this team anymore, with the way next years schedule is shaping up, we will be out of the running fairly early in the season with all those road games early on, not to mention this management group will not survive another slow start.
Yup. Just like I said last September, 2015 will be a 2011 style flop and yet another mid-season change in management and players. Then we can replace the 'vision' meeting with some good, old fashioned, angered up, drunken town halls again. I find comfort in us perennially being utter shite. Shows we are settled and have accepted our place in the league, at or near the bottom.

So the reason Hall withdrew from re-entry is that TFC traded him to the Revs for a draft pick.
I'm surprised people are upset we didn't take anyone and/or are worried by the inactivity thus far. Given the lack of moves compared to prior years, we haven't blown up our entire roster this year so it makes sense. As for not much action in the reentry drafts, we already have a good group of MLS hardened players (Morrow, Jackson, Oduro, Creavalle, Warner etc..) and a lot of 1st rd draft picks so I rather focus on bringing in more players with foreign experience.
I tend to share the same approach as others here, which is to assume the worst and have no hopes for the season. However, if I did worry about such things, if there is one area I wish we had seen some movement, it's at centre half. Some good MLS vets have already gone. It's a position you can get immediate contributors from the draft, but not likely. And foreign players have tended to need a bit of MLS experience to get their feet under them. I would really have preferred we pick up someone in the league with some experience there.

If everyone but Morrow from that list was not on this team by the start of the season, i would not lose sleep over it... for the sake of continuity, that would be a tad dramatic, but I expect to see some turnover amongst that group - There are better MLS hardened, veteran players in their positions, and we may have to sell/trade some youth and potential for some veteran talent, especially considering the ludicrous amount of draft picks Toronto has this year
Soooo where does this leave DeRo?
