One interesting thing re Defoe, he may have showed his hand too quick. Everybody in EPL now knows he wants back to UK, that could lower his wages in any delas he tries to negogiate. One thing that is for sure, he won't get what we are paying him from any club
For sure its not an apples and oranges comparison at all but as Phil said its common place for this to happen to players in this caliber.

Going down the road of big name DPs we were always going to fight these kind of battles in terms of transfer rumors.

Come on who wouldn't giggle at a Gala, Usenov, or White jersey lol

I was actually going to do that with my old jerseys. I wanted Usanov and maybe Hscanovics and even Lombardo. I already have Serioux but I am good with that one because I always liked him.

Edward Norton (aka Edvin Jurisevic) is the ref. He likes to red card people.
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

"The thing that I cannot stress enough is how much we need our fans to make BMO the best stadium, the best atmosphere that we all know it is and can be in the league," said Bradley.

"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports

I've actually seen Gala jerseys twice in the city - I think both times were in Etobicoke. Probably family though.

I generally don't like labeling games a "must win" - but I really think this game is a "must win", both in terms of the standings, and just psychologically for our team. They need to settle the boat. Fans are not happy, the players are clearly not happy right now (especially after that last finish), and it's imperative that we not freefall down the standings.

Oh, and apparently Bradley opted himself to speak with the media again. He's really trying to show leadership right now, and I'm glad for it.

If the Union and the Crew get zero points and TFC wins . . . I believe all three teams will be tied for 5th place!

This is one of the things I miss the most about the old days...

It was a calling card of BMO, and actually had a tangible effect on opposing players taking corners... some guys would get very frustrated!

I've had streamers wrapped around me twice this season. One made it to a player.

I just want a game where the ref is blended into the background and not stomping about making crazy mad calls just so he/she can be the star of the show.

    2-0 to TFC

How come this game is on Sunday afternoon? Why schedule this game against NFL?

What a stupid idea to have a game on Sunday afternoon.

I just don't understand the entire schedule. At this point in time, this league is viewed as an amateur league compared to the other big 4 sports leagues, college sports in America, Nascar, tennis and golf... yet they schedule on their own terms. They schedule games at 830 pm on a Saturdays... insane... AND NOW that the NFL is back on they decide to put it on Sundays... I almost want to laugh. The first 2/3 of the season should be played on Sunday afternoons and when the PGA TOUR has big events finishing on sundays they should mix it up and throw in some Saturday afternoons... The last 3rd of the season should be scheduled on Saturday afternoons between 1-5 pm starts to avoid hockey night in Canada on Saturday nights and football on Sundays. This is not a big league yet, they simply have to much competition to schedule on their own terms. I know personally Sundays and mid Saturday afternoons are the best time for me... Why would the average sports fan want to watch MLS on Saturday night? They wouldn't - and their drawing 22 k some games

Every week, either Saturday or Sunday, at 3 Eastern, or so it has seemed.

I don't know why, but I don't partake in NFL anyway, so it's not an issue with me. Torn allegiance with you perhaps. I think NFL is a Stupid pansey game anyway.

No thanks to Sunday games in general. Saturday matches are much preferred, all season long.
