Got the invite today for the BBQ at the Kia training ground. Did anyone go last year, if so what was it like?
I live in Belleville so would like some opinions on if it's worth my while driving all that way for.
Any info would be appreciated

My family and I had fun last year. Food was great and free non-alcoholic beverages. Two free beers for each adult. Games, face paint, and cotton candy for the kids. Everyone got raffle tickets too for some TFC merchandise. Tours of the practice facilities. Live music. Overall was a good time. Had a chat with Danny Dichio and he actually remembered me from last time I saw him which was impressive. TL did a speech on how we were going to turn things around. I guess this year's speech is we will make the playoffs. No players were there last year or anything since they were on a roadtrip at the time. I found it worth it but I was only coming in from Ajax.

This BBQ is family oriented event, but if you never been to their training ground, then this is time you can go there and get a tour.

I drank so much free beer at the bbq last year, it was an amazing way to spend the early part of the day before heading off to Columbus for the US world cup qualifier vs. Mexico.

I would recommend it for sure, last year the food was great BBQ with salad fruit, snacks and beers. There were games for kids, my son had a great time there. The tour was good, you could have a photo with bitchy the mascot.
I remember the nice desert loot bags we got when leaving too.

We enjoyed our KIA experience last year, so responded that we are going again this year.
Deleted the original invite and now I can't remember was it on the Sunday like last year or on a Saturday this year?

I had that same issue for a few months at the beginning of the season and had them look into it. They must have done something because I now get all of the emails again. Good luck. Definitely give the rep a call.

actually now that you mention it, i havent been getting any emails.

you have to take all the useless emails along with the informative ones.

We were thinking the same thing.

Last year at the BBQ, Tim L. said we didn't have to pay for our ssh tickets until the new year and the new plan was presented to us. Then the "bloody BIG deal". Season started great but now it appears to be a bloody BIG mess"!

Still supporting our boys, just a little disappointed!
