EDU - Biggest joke ever
This guy is a complete waste of space. I wouldn't pick him in our pub team. He showed absolutely no passion tonight at all; didnt chase the loose balls, had next to no movement off the ball, and of course is a shit striker. Carver - sort it out mate. This isnt the team that started the season, and the fans will only stand so much.
Great physical talent, not so much football sense.

Honestly, what the fuck is wrong with him? Why has his game regressed so much since last season? I'm guessing that he has let the hype get to his head but I don't hear or read anything about him not practicing or anything of that sort. It's not just that he makes poor decisions on the pitch (which he most certainly does). His entire talent level seems to have deteriorated.
I betcha he wouldnt score even if you were controlling him in a game of Fifa 09

nothing ever comes of Edu's play. He has a tendency to lose the ball easily, particularly when he tries to go past 3 guys.
my dad was yelling at him when he kicked a long arching ball down the wing to, I think, Ricketts. he needed to send something along the ground instead.
I really don;t think he is that much worse this year than the rookie year... he was just as horrible... But i think the hype around him for being #1 pick was a factor, also the fact that we had a super shity team and he;s a not bad athlete so he stood out over the mediocre play. If you listen to Carver's post game interview it sounds like he wants to move to a 4-4-2 diamond with two strikers, Guevara as attacking mid, and Robbo as DM...so it sounds as though Edu will be on the bench when we finally sign a couple players...thankfully.
Edu has never been good guys. He is a hero, he tries when he has an opportunity to score or be a hero. Then takes all the credit and glory.
Ever notice that when he takes shots he tends to fall down? He can't make a pass to save his life and has zero ball control. All his goals are based off o him being too far up the pitch.
There is probably a spot for him in the Polish 2nd division if he wants to jump ship
I saw a FoxSoccerReport episode when they were talking about Edu potentially playing for Man U or Barcelona. What the F? Are you kidding me? He's not even in TFC's top 10.

I'm starting to agree that Edu is running out of usefulness on Toronto FC. Pardon me if I'm wrong, but didn't he duck from one of Robert's corner. There was a mix grouping a few metres from the goal line roughly in the centre he was a part of with an Impact player behind him and one immediately in front of him. Ball came in and the Impact player on the front misjudged it and jumped up to early, and Edu actually ducked his head from the ball, letting the guy behind himhead it out.
Seriously, I couldn't believe what I just saw. I fully apologize if I'm getting the player wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was Edu and he completely ducked the ball.
Anyways, Altogether his game is less than impressive. It realy doesn't look like he wants to be here, and perhaps maybe Mo and Carver should send him on his way. I would debate that Edu has never been good - just his presence alone creates an offense threat to a lot of slower defenders and that has been exploited in the past. As a generality, though; he's not bringing to the club what we need.
