The season was over when Dichio was injured. You can't win without goals and Ibrahim and Cunningham aren't the answers.

At least Ibrahim has an excuse

    Angry Montreal -Nutralite Post Mortem

    Well, We are out.
Done, finished. It may be considered by some to be a Mickey Mouse Tournament but it's one we wanted to win.
With the players we have, we should have coasted this thing....
We have played like shit for both games against Montreal and Both games against vancouver. We do not deserve to go through.
We lack the quality and the depth. FFS, we had a 16 year old up front, then a defender....not to mention Cunningham.

    Anway, today.
I thought a few players did ok (and remember, this is an opinion, don't crucify me!)

Sutton played well, Ricketts too, Robinson....

    Edu. Shit. Sophmore slump...
Robert. -What is going on, where are your free kicks????
Cunningham. Please, just fuck off. Quit. leave. You are shit.

Congrats to Montreal, they deserve it.
    We don't.

    Thoughts?

I thought Robert played great, besides one really bad corner kick. But oh well...very disappointing.

    Robert MOM.

This team is so fucking slow. Any team that can run will cause us problems. Throw out a bunch of eager teenagers and I guarantee we would struggle.

Montreal doesn't deserve anything, if anyone does its Vancouver.

Team played well, just not well enough to score 2 goals. I hate Cunningham.

You know, I was disapointed more with his (Robert)free kicks more than anything, not his full gameplay.

For the season to be a success, I had two things in mind: making the playoffs and qualifying for the CCL.

    You basically contradicted yourself:
"With the players we have, we should have coasted this thing...."
"We lack the quality and the depth. FFS, we had a 16 year old up front, then a defender....not to mention Cunningham."

I agree with you though even with a 16 year old up front we have to win

God basically handed Toronto FC a gift when Ali Gerba was free transferred as he was in TOP FORM and we were in desperate need of a domestic striker.

Why wasn't he signed? God knows.

    Good players today:
Wynne(good work with Ro), RICKETTS (amazing game), Robert (yet again), Brennan (nice links with robert), Sutton (saved our ass with minutes left, good quick distribution)

It seems that since May we've been regressing. I really thought that Carver was doing all the right things but this is a results-oriented business, and we have really lost the plot. For two months we can't seem to string together 3 passes without turning the ball over.

I'm not ready to throw Carver under the bus but he needs to seriously analyze what is wrong with our team. Yes we need strikers but it's far worse than that. We have some players who are begging to be let go. Their performance says it every time they are on the pitch. I think we all know who those players are, and it isn't anyone who is new this season.

We do lack the quality and depth BUT we still have, a stronger team on paper than both Montreal and Vancouver.

I'm getting tired of people defending Sutton. He was crap. Fucked up on the first goal and fucked up again which nearly put TFC out. I could have made that save near the end, the shot was weak.

Sutton was fantastic, our D should never let anyone get into the positioning that they got into on the corner kick. Sutton was doing what he was supposed to, the Defence let him down

Robert and Brennan were 2 of our best players out there tonight IMO. Robert was constantly putting in dangerous balls and Brennan was making great runs all game. Robert's free kicks were somewhat poor though. And Cunny's just gotta get the hell out. Did nothing but give the ball away tonight and couldn't even get the ball over the line from 2 yards out. Don't know how he ever managed to get 99 goals

I've never been a Dichio lover, but he was clearly the heart and soul of this team.
    I'm embarrassed tonight.

Its not the end of the season either, its the end of our CCL run. The team needs to throw it away now and focus on getting back into contention for the playoffs, lets do something there to make up for this. We will come out next year and win the whole thing. I think after this, there will be some major changes, if not during the season, the offseason will bring us lots of news.

Can we all agree the fucking 451 does not work, at this point, because I don't think Guevara got into the box all night, and he's supposed to be playing in the hole. They even commented on it , on tv, on the fact that he was playing back beside Robinson half the time and Edu was the one pushing up. That makes no sense to me.

Fuck. Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck. Fuck . I'm so fucking gutted by this loss, I'm not even sure if a playoff run would make up for it right now. Why can't we just see a healthy Danny Dichio out there with a good finisher next to him -- Pauleta, please, take the fucking money and save us -- robert-guevara-robbo-ricketts, a nice old fashioned 442 that will create some fucking chances. Sell Edu, who really does think he's too cool for fucking school but right now couldn't successfuly eat chalk.

    Fuckckckckckck.

edu didn't give a flying fuck about anything, cunny was pure shite, and guevara disappeared for most of the match. all of that possession wasted ... montreal played their hearts out, good on em, they deserved it ... maybe this loss will be the kick in the pants we need to get back to our winning ways
