I'm going to the game tomorrow - but going to the jays game at 1 - planning on leaving the jays game early as tfc takes priority (obviously) - wondering what the best way to get from Rogers centre to bmo as fast as possible - I'm an out of towner so any help would be appreciated - thanks

Im doing the exact same, if you want to meet up with us. more than likely we will just go back to Union Station and take a streetcar or train over to Exhibition.

Check the GO Train - it will be quicker than the streetcar, especially with the downtown traffic. And if you have a PRESTO card, the ride from Union to Ex is free.

Yes Definitely take the GO train.

It leaves from Union station at 13 minutes and 43 minutes past the hour.
So if you take the 3:13 train you will be at BMO at 3:19 with 40 minutes to get into your seats.
If you leave it til 3:43 you will arrive at 3:49 with a hurried 11 minutes to get settled in.

By a day pass at Union station or a return ticket ($10.40) because if you need to get back downtown getting a ticket after the game is insane.
With the subway shut and all of the construction STAY OFF THE DAMN ROADS!!

Streetlight cam captures me on my way to the game last Sat.

I get there in half the time of transit.

    Go Train for sure.

TTC train service is not running south of Bloor which means 100 busses shuttling on the downtown streets and everyone normally on the trains crammed onto the buses and streetcars. Add to that the amount of road construction and it could be time consuming to get around. I'd steer clear of surface routes if possible and drop a couple extra bucks and use the Go Train.

I seriously love our trips to & from BMO via bike. Best way by far. No hassle, no stress. 7 km up & down Shaw St., nice leafy side streets or via Trinity Bellwoods Park, even better now that Shaw is a 2-way bike route.

Don't know why they can't put some more bike locking posts around BMO...

There are no streetcars out of Union until the end of August.

And the buses that come from near King Street will take about 30 minutes to get to the Exhibition loop.

You'd be quicker to walk up to King and take a car over to Bathurst and then another car down into the Loop, or walk through Liberty Village.

GO would be the better option, if you get there at the right time.

    No.

I've done that and it definitely took 5.25 permanently off.

Tap on - you start your trip.

Tap off - it calculates the amount, in this case 5.25

Don't tap off, and it charges you a bundle.....

Don't tap at all, and if they catch you, its a BIG fine.

It reimburses your fare if you've already paid the maximum for the month using the Lakeshore West line.

No, I use my bike all over Toronto, never a problem. U-Lock for the front frame & wheel; cable lock for the back frame/seat/wheel (& helmet so they will let me into BMO). At BMO, due to the lack of bike racks, we usually lock to the outside metal pickets of the stadium with the cable locks, which isn't great.

Only time we had a bike stolen in Toronto was when my wife left her bike all day at OISE, with only a cheap cable lock... Having an older bike helps as well.
