This is pretty hard to justify. A midfielder? Sure, that makes sense. To trade Issey, someone who's produced and worked harder than nearly everyone seems hard to stomach. I just have to think there is more to this story because on the surface it seems ludicrous.

This trade is a little odd. but Issey is 30 years old. He was the kind of signing you build winners with. Solid contribution not just hard work without all of the fanfare.

We are getting a reliable pro who is just entering his prime. He is also ready to take over for Bradley allowing Osario to move forward during thew WC month.

I can't help thinking though that the wing is really where we need help.

thanks to INF for a valuable honest shift with our club, and good luck in montreal.

In my humble opinion, it was one of those moves that you don't want to make, but have to. On the wings we have Jackson and Rey as starters, with Osario being able to play there if needed, and in a pinch there's Dero. And then throw in the Lovitz kid and we're 4.5 players deep out wide. When we lose Bradley, we'll have a starting central pair of Osario and Bekker for a good month and a bit if we don't bring in Warner or a player like him. I don't know how the rest of you feel about this but I wouldn't feel very confident with that.

So, am I happy about the move? No, but it makes sense.

Except Neil Davidson just reported that Jackson is out with a concussion...

I think that you make a lot of sense here. We are weak in the DM spot and maybe this guy can help, though I hear he's not exactly a defensive mid by trade.

Maybe he'll be a holdover until Laba comes back. (I know.... wishful thinking)

A goal spree from Gilberto might make me forget who Laba ever was.
