Reduced Weekend Train Service Between Whitby & Oshawa GO
April 11-13 & 25-27, 2014

Over two weekends in April, we will be making improvements to the train tracks at South Blair Street crossing to enhance pedestrian and vehicle safety in the area.
Hourly service between Whitby and Oshawa GO

• Starting Friday, April 11 (from 7:00 p.m. onwards) to end of day Sunday, April 13
• Again on Friday, April 25 (from 7:00 p.m. onwards) to end of day Sunday, April 27

What you need to know

• GO Trains will only travel to/from Oshawa GO Station once an hour.
• GO shuttle buses will operate between Oshawa GO (Platform 5) and Whitby GO (bus loop, stop is on the north side of the station).
• GO Bus Route 90 & 91 will hold to connect to the GO shuttle buses.
• Regular 30 minute train service will continue between Whitby GO and Union.
• If you normally drive to Oshawa GO, consider driving to Whitby GO instead.

Lakeshore West Corridor

01 – Lakeshore West GO Train

• The 8:38 a.m. Lakeshore West eastbound train, from Aldershot to Clarkson then express to Union, will leave Aldershot earlier at 8:34, serve other stations earlier, and now make all stops, arriving at Union eight minutes later than usual, at 9:41 a.m. to provide service to more customers on the line.
• The 8:13 a.m. connecting bus trip from Hamilton, will now depart four minutes earlier, at 8:09 a.m., to provide a connection to the adjusted train trip.
• Bus connections to McMaster University will be reduced to reflect typically lower ridership during the spring/summer.

12 – Niagara Falls/Toronto GO Bus

• Some trips will be adjusted, including earlier or later departures.

18 – Lakeshore West GO Bus

• The Saturday westbound trip from Union at 2:30 a.m., arriving at Hamilton GO Centre at 3:55 a.m., has been discontinued. This trip will now only operate Monday to Thursday. A new 2:30 a.m. trip has been added on both Fridays and Saturdays. See below.
• A new weekday westbound trip from Union at 5:40 a.m., running express to Port Credit then making all stops to Hamilton GO Centre, arriving at 7:05 a.m.
• A new Friday ONLY westbound trip from Union at 2:30 a.m., running express to Port Credit then making all stops to Clarkson GO, arriving at 2:58 a.m.
• A new Friday ONLY westbound trip from Union at 2:30 a.m., running express to Oakville GO then making all stops to Hamilton GO Centre, arriving at 3:40 a.m.
• A new Saturday westbound trip from Union at 2:30 a.m., running express to Port Credit then making all stops to Clarkson GO, arriving at 2:58 a.m.
• A new Saturday westbound trip from Union at 2:30 a.m., running express to Oakville GO then making all stops to Hamilton GO Centre, arriving at 3:40 a.m

Lakeshore East Corridor

09 – Lakeshore GO Bus

• Accessible GO Bus service will now be available at the King and Liberty bus stop in Bowmanville.

88 – Peterborough/Oshawa GO Bus

• Minor adjustments have been made to some stop times on the schedule to reflect actual travel times.
• Service to Trent University will be reduced to reflect typically lower ridership during the spring/summer.

90 – Newcastle/Oshawa GO Bus

• Several trips will be adjusted, including earlier departures.

92 – Newcastle/Oshawa Express GO Bus

• Accessible GO Bus service will now be available at Hwy. 2 at Fairport and Hwy. 2 at Glenanna.

93 – Durham College & UOIT/Scarborough Express

• School service suspended for the spring/summer starting April 26
