That article on TV ratings is probably the most important article today. If they can increase viewership, that will increase the amount they can charge for ads, which will increase the contract amount MLS can ask for when they renewal, which they can use to increase the salary cap.

Bingo! Sounds like an excellent plan for me. Once they increase the salary cap, this will also improve the quality of the games themselves - helping TV numbers even more. I know of people who are only just now starting to watch the occasional game because the quality is better. Stars help, too. We're heading in the right direction.
