When Gilberto gets fit, he is going to be a terror on crosses.....his closing speed is amazing.

On another minor positive note, Henry seems to have settled down a bit.

Hall is clueless. Bekker has a good shot and offers a lot more offensively compared to Hall. I am not saying Bekker should be starting or getting significant minutes. But Hall played mediocre at best today. Giving Bekker 45 or 30 mins wouldn't have been the end of the world.
Btw Issey looking good.
Man, DeRo really looks like he has lost a step.

at least this game gave us some perspective on areas where tfc is lacking...it also takes time to get familiar with each others tendencies.
Morrow's had a rough game, too.
We
just looked a step off all night. Seriously, young team, key pieces missing, depth still not there .. it would've taken a lot to get points tonight.
Nice save from Julio Cesar.

Bekker is always a step behind, and is pedestrian in every game he's played in, including this one. Look at Gilberto and Bradley, they exemplify the drive to play and play hard even when down 3-0, which is what we've been missing. Skills or not, Bekker is not cut out for MLS as is, especially not as a CM.
Morales is a beast.

Every team has these types of games. RSL is just a great strong team and they didn't give an inch.. TFC gave several.
would have liked to see one goal from us though.
3 goalpoachers on at once being gready? go figure...
and bekker sucks, some players don't deserve to play in the MLS, Bekker is one of them
Cesar limping after catching that last ball.....
Let's keep this team together for a while, add some important pieces. RSL has had lots of time together, and it shows.
Overrated, so says RSL supporters. can't disagree with them
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
missed Laba tonight
Oh well.
Let's hope Defoe is ok.
Otherwise its a learning experience for the new team. We had to lose at sone point, at least this is a game that on paper the best team won, and we didn't lose an "easy" game.
Gilberto, DeRo, Hall, Farran and a few others all needed minutes, so we got that. Onto the next game...
I'm not devastated by this. We need to take the hard lessons and accept our fair dose of reality. I am concerned about Defoe and Julio Cesar's injuries. We need to see a reaction next week against the Piss Stains and take at least a point out of Columbus.

Ryan Nelson has to shoulder some blame for his selections tonight. Playing Bloom as a rw and Orr at RB has been a disaster. Jeremy Hall is not MLS quality for a good team, but then again we have little to no depth compared to top tier teams like rsl, skc, l.a galaxy.
I was really concerned about the excessive hype regarding TFC.
However, despite being the worse team by far, I was somewhat encouraged by the number of serious chances TFC created.
Gilberto was so selfish.....hope that doesn't continue.
Well that's that. Crap night all around. I know he's 35, but i anyone else surprised at how much worse Dero looks this year?
Losing a game -particularly a road game against a good team, is no sin. Getting stuffed 3-0, less so.
Whatever. It's a long season. Just pray Defoe and Cesar are okay.

Listen to their support!
How different is that from year one? Im loving the way the whole league has grown up since we first came out onto their piss poor turf covered in gridiron lines to the sound of rustling popcorn.
You have to hand it to RSL fans for bringing it tonight.
Don't really agree, I thik Nelson picked the best 11 we had. I always want to keep the majority of your first 11 playing, so playing Bloom was fine - Farran has only just got back with the squad so I wouldn't expect him to go thrown straight into the first 11. This is Orr's first full game, so I expect he will need a few games to get up to speed (playing at altitude wouldn't have helped). Hall is fine depth DM in the MLS, but again, it was his first game of the season, playing at altitude.
It's no excuses, but I don't thik Nelson could have done much different given Jackson and Osorio out and the time of the season.
