I got a chuckle from Jermain' commetns abotu how the practice the other day was teh FIRST time he has ever played on an artificial surface.
Says a lot from a guy that has already seen his 31st birthday.

Don;t want to burst anyone's bubble, but I think it HIGHLY unlikely he will feature in Seattle.
Risking your prized asset, jsut back from a hamstring, on a plastic pitch?
    don;t think so.

Rememebr when we were screaming for real grass?
Gettign it was , up until THIS season, our best signing ever.

EDIT: Nelsen said the artificial pitch at Seattle's CenturyLink Field may determine who plays and for how long on Saturday."You get the travel, and then you get, not just an artificial field, it's a bad artificial field. It's not like this one," Nelsen said. "It's like playing one-and-a-half. . .one-and-three-quarter games in terms of damage to your body. So we've got guys who are healthy but just don't have that hardness of fitness under them, which is a concern."

I'm fine with Defoe not playing in Seattle. Not worth the risk.

Release the hounds at home next week!!

I believe he said he hasn't trained on artificial surface in years... I can't believe that he hasn't ever played on turf in his long career....

I get the feeling that Defoe will be a late-game substitution, just like Morales was for Vancouver last week.

I wouldn't be surprised if he came on in the 75th - just to get a competitive run in.

I love the Google translate version of the following:

"We want the hobby enjoy this team," said King. " We delude with the goal of the playoffs."
    Original Spanish:

"Queremos que la aficion disfrute de este equipo", afirma Rey. "Nos ilusionamos con el objetivo de los playoffs".

^ In terms of translation, a bit off topic I know, but I was in Cuba last week - and "surf'n'turf" on a menu was "fish & earth beef"...

    I laughed my ass off...
"...Money wasn't tight, but it like, it wasn't right..."

Since you went off topic here is something like that and I found this hilarious. I find the translation stuff really funny sometimes. Especially when the languages are so completely different. Check it out. Starts off with a bang!!!
