LA Galaxy vs. Club Tijuana matchup should be interesting, seeing as San Diego has adopted the Xolos as their own soccer side.

entertaining game as Toluca went ahead on a cracker of a strike, but SJ ties it up with literally last kick of the game off a Gordon header. SJ really should have won like 3-1

I'm really rooting for an mls team to win this year. I haven't really watched/researched the other teams. Is cruz azul the automatic favorite to win it all?

Geez, some great goal-keeping and weird bounces, otherwise it's 3 or 4-1 for SJ.

Nice to see Alan Gordon get the equalizer (one of the absolutely best character players in MLS). SJ should have won the thing. That looks like it was a really good CCL game.

Funny comment on Big Sawker about Toluca from a SJ fan:

They way their players act after being "fouled" you would think they need to send in a life-flight helicopter because of the severity of their injury …..but as soon as the stretcher arrives they are miraculously healed….

MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

I think Toluca was playing at about 90%, and was clearly playing more or less for a draw. And for a team playing first competitive match, SJ was pretty good, and they will get better in 2nd leg with Yannick Djalo, Andrea Gorlitz and Clarence Goodson available. Though Mexican teams have an extra gear when playing in Mexico, so SJ will have a tough time. Lenhart was a handful for Toluca defenders.

    Cruz Azul at SKC 8pm

    Tijuana at LA 10pm

1-0 SKC at the half. SKC has been dominating Cruz Azul

Watched this entire game so far, and SKC look really good. Great ball movement, especially in the midfield.
