says Houston is getting DeMarcus Beasley. Shouldn't we get something for the first allocation spot? Do we have to say we want him? We might not be able to claim him since we have 3 DPs?
Larsun saying on Twitter that TFC is in advanced trade talks with Houston for the allocation spot. More draft picks? Rather see a player but we need some defensive cover and I don't think they have any I'd want.

There are reports out of Houston this morning that the Dynamo are in talks with TFC for the top spot in the allocation order.

Steven Goff reported last night that Houston are trying to trade Ashe to make room for Beasley.

Meh. Looking at their roster and what we they would actually be willing to give up, I don't see much. Draft picks and allocation are probably the best scenario.

Since Morrow has gone down, is that why TFC maybe interested in Ashe?

Houston seems to have to speak to us about trading our top spot in the allocation order to get Beasley. I find it a weird move for them. He's a great player, but I'm not sure left back is big gaping need for them. Certainly not one that is going to turn around a team out of the playoffs. Apparently they also need to find some cap space. So the question is, who on Houston could we get to trade the allocation spot? Is Corey Ashe worth it? Bring in a left back in Beasley, give us their current one? Especially with Bloom out.

Creavalle or Driver would be decent pickups.

All good, there was a ping in my head that we lost a RB or LB though. LOL

I look forward to seeing how Tim B deals with it.

I agree with this, especially allocation if we could score a decent amount of $$$ and maybe pick up some depth this window.

Apparently a trade involving a player is done. Just have to wait to see who we get.

I would take Ashe. Especially if people are right about Bloom going to Orlando in the expansion draft. Ashe is a decent MLSer.

I don't think he's worth $175K unless Bez knows things about next years CBA and new salary structure that we don't.

Wasn't considering salary, just the player. Yeah that's a lot more than Bloom is getting.

I can't see TFC leaving Bloom available in the expansion draft...
(At least I hope they wouldn't!)

Before the match where he got the ACL injury the broadcasters said that TFC was working on an extension with him to reward him for his good work. Doesn't mean he would be protected but I think it says something about how he is regarded.

Not sure how Ashe fits in when we have Morrow. I'm not sure I'd prefer Ashe either.

Maybe we can swap Ashe as soon as we get him for something or someone more useful?

There was some speculation here that he wanted to go to Orlando because his wife is there. I have no knowledge of it personally. Would be great if he stayed.

I was thinking Bloom was a left back for some reason. Scratch everything I said. I don't know my left and right (without wearing those Puma boots).

His wife is a nurse in the army and she is stationed in Florida.

    She is also pregnant.

I don't think anyone would begrudge him a move to Orlando to be close with his family.

Kind of a shame that it's Houston as they really don't have much to offer (minus the players they'd never give up like Davies, Bruin, & Barnes). Rather see us take a flyer on a young rookie like Arena or Johnson than a player like Ashe who fills no major need and costs too much $$$.

Yeah only makes sense for them to do a salary dump. In our old days we'd have taken him no matter the cost and played him up as a former championship winner.

I am actually kind of hiding my head here because I could still see us doing that.

Warren Creavalle is the supposed player.

Salary $100K. Plays anywhere along the back line. Probably better than Ashe for us anyway.
