I have always like Issey so I hope it works out....good addition in my opinion and not sure what took so long with regards to making this happen.

Wouldn't mind seeing TFC pick up Marcus Haber on the cheap in the summer. Stevenage is trying to move him, he might be a good fit here and would likely fit financially.
I don't think he be low rent though. I watch a lot of football, I liked Dike, but the kind of skill set he posses is far from unique. I watched the Levski - CSKA game just the other day, there's players on both teams who could fill that roll, similarly, most lower league English teams have a guy who's big, a willing runner, holds the ball, scores once in a while.
If Marcus Haber is the answer, I'm not sure what the question is...
Just kidding, but he's the most overrated player in the history of organized sport though. Someone above was joking about Samuel, at his best, he'd be a perfect fit right now. Probably the most underrated player to suit up for TFC.
Always liked Issey. Hope this happens.
What I don't get is when people bring up a name like Haber's and say he "fills a need". That need had better mean more Canadians because if it means anything else then people have lost the script. If Haber where British and we showed interest it'd be the familiar refrain that he's a lower league hoofballing scrub and we're back to kissing Anglo-centric arse. Time to pass on losers based on passports and start daring to be great or whatever term Tim L said. You don't dare to be anything by going after the likes of Haber.
Speaking of Canadians,
Whatever happened to Josh Simpson? I remember him being pretty quick on his feet a few years ago.
Larson: "Bright Dike tells @TheTorontoSun he's aiming for a late-summer return to action after Achilles injury. Hopes to push #TFC into playoffs."
Would be nice. Not sure it'll happen though.
If Dike gets back by summer and we sign Issey then I will be fairly happy with things and would be interested in seeing what we could do IF we make the playoffs.
I still think the lack of depth at forward is a bigger issue than the lack of depth at winger.... NE has a lot of depth at forward, I'd be looking to make a trade with them. Not sure what we have to offer tho...
Saër Sène's still on their books, I know he had a pretty bad injury, but I believe he's fit enough to play.

Has there been anything official on Issey yet?
The need is a cheap domestic forward with big physical attributes. It's just assumed that we won't be able to move for Alan Gordon as SJ would want too much. Herc Gomez would be too expensive and Mike Grella is just as shit as Haber. Haber keeps coming up because IIRC he's just wrapping up a loan and is probably available for nothing.
Personally, I never thought he was any good but he does fit the bill of a player in Dike's mould.
Naturally, of course.
Haber's a reserve at Stevenage - basically says it all. I think TFC are past the League One cast-off stage, or should be anyway.
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

TFC is flying out to Seattle today, so it would be interesting to see if they do anything before Saturday? I would suspect that we will know by tomorrow if anything is happening with INF based if he is at training or not on the west coast.

I don't know about that. I've been out to see a few league one matches in the past few weeks and I've seen some real good football and some players I'd love to see suit up for Toronto. One thing I would note is that I've been going to see one of the top teams in the league. Also let's not forget what Luke Rogers did at NYRB coming from that level. I think overall the teams at league 1 are better and have more depth but MLS has a small core of players in the league that are of a higher level but the drop off after that is really big.
@KristianJack: Canadian international Issey Nakajima Farran and his agent left the Toronto FC training facility today with the deal 'virtually done'. #tfc
Looks like it's a done deal.
