Seems like recently the number of players from Brazil and Argentina is increasing in MLS, or is that just because I'm paying more attention to those moves?

I think you are right. Portland signed 3 Argies this off season. Chivas picked up a player on loan from Argentinos Juniors. SKC too a Brazilan on loan. Our Brazilans. Montreal have a few South Americans and Piatti from San Lorenzo incoming this summer IIRC. Orlando look like they will have a hkeavy Brazilan influence next year.

Dallas and Vancouver added other South Americans.

While it's always been a market thats been tapped by MLS, I think the level/amount is increasing.

There have always been a fair number of Argentines in MLS. The number of Brazilians is somewhat new, but makes some sense given their league calendar is similar.

Could do worse than someone on the books at Corinthians. Very big club. Like to see him play before I making any bold statements, but profile is acceptable.

Apparently the Corinthians player was only here on a training stint "for a couple days," according to a club spokesperson via e-mail.

He is really a CAM but he's been played often on the wing, where he hasn't exactly excelled (well at least not lately). He doesn't have the legs to play out wide anymore (if he ever did to begin with). Shame as he was one of my faves. I think he could be very effective in this league if played in the hole behind the striker(s), depending on formation obviously. I suspect he will sign for QPR if they're promoted, otherwise who knows where he'll land.

I think Lampard still has a good couple of years left in him, would be a good combo with Bradley in the middle of the park. Not going to happen though nor do I think he should be someone we went after.

This season was the first in the last 10 years where he did not have a double digit goal return. Still scored 6 in 26 league appearance though. I would think he would still be about to pot a few playing in MLS
