On the subject of Bendik, i'm a big fan. But I would love to see Konopka get a start during this busy July.
The guy looks massive. Pretty sure I recall he played in net for Philly one time when they played at BMO? Could be wrong.
Seeing as Bloom will soon recognize his potential and will often be away with the USMNT we will definitely need a good back-up right back.
This is him by the way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZafQ9V6n-U
prob some right back depth,i would not be shocked if we lose bloom to Orlando next season,i think his wife is in the navy and stationed in Orlando, could be wrong about that?
Ansah looks good as third string depth as well as for a future player in our 18.
This would be a great, cheap signing (these guys make 8-20k a year in Ghana).
Interestingly, two players from that same Ghanaian team is trialing with Portland - http://www.stumptownfooty.com/2014/7...gewell-arrives
I have been pretty happy with Bendik and wasn't unhappy with Cesar, but if Cesar returns will he be to form? After watching the heartbreak and emotion that was laid over him after the last Brazil loss at the World Cup in 2010 things were looking fantastic when he was hailed as the hero in the win against Chile. But looking at the unbelievable meltdown against Germany it seems that the psyche of the team is just in ruins. Maybe a great performance today against the Dutch will do something to rehab that, but I worry that Cesar's sense of self might be wounded enough to seriously harm his work. Putting him as a backup will only confirm this, probably dealing him will do the same.
The MLS special on him and the All For One episode both highlighted what a special, yet hurt man Cesar is. The near inexplicable 'massacre' (as it was called) of the Brazillian team doesn't bode well.
I can't help but wonder if this prompted QPR to speed the signing of Green, because I was under the impression that they wanted Cesar back to start this season.
Did you watch his tryout video?
This guy is not signing in MLS, unless he has Olympic sprinter speed or something that we're not seeing in that vid. He has a very basic skill set, beats no one on the run, can't deliver an accurate cross, makes poor passing decisions. That video is actually working against him.
I think I saw Stephen Owusu-Ansah and his West African entourage in Section 108 tonight. If I am correct, he's one thin but muscular dude.
"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports

Ryan Richter has just been sent off in his first game on loan with the Ottawa Fury at FC Edmonton. A rather inauspicious start...
Orlando Bloom....teeeheeeheee

According to the article above, Julio Cesar is headed to Benfica.
Benfica has been mentioned before.
I don;t see Benfica paying big bucks for him.
Benfica has come to terms with him. Now to work out the transfer fee with QPR
If by Sky Italia guy you mean Di Marizo, i'd be willing to believe it he is one of the more reliable guys out there.
Jackson not in team photo for the new suits. Perhaps on the move?
Ditching Jackson right now means our wide midfielders/wingers would be:
Lovitz
Osorio
DeRo (kind of - hasn't been in that position all season)
Moore
Oduro
Oso is the best defender.
If he's traded you would think it would be like for like unless it was for allocation
