More than likely we would be looking at a 1st round pick and allocation for the allocation pick.
Would give us 5 1st round picks this year

Yeah, that's about it, probably.
To those who think we might be getting Laba back, I would suggest a reality check at this point. He's one of Vancouver's best players and short of having to pay us millions, they're going to keep him. Again, what Bez describes as a big clause might just be a first round pick.
i would do, but I also would rather be realistic...and being realistic tells me there is absolutely no way in hell Chicago would part with Shipp
rather the 1st rounder; shipp for reasons above and he'd also be one more person to protect in this year's expansion draft
with Chivas' first and Chicago's first we'd be in an ok place with probably 2 top 5 picks in the draft considering we could lose 2 players in the expansion draft and still have 3 other top 20 picks to help build more depth/long-term projects
Between Hagglund and Lovitz I also trust our ability to pull talent from this next draft class.
5 1st round picks would give us the ability to send quite a few players on loan next season.
Depending on how everything plays out,
Most of the 2015 Superdraft picks that are ours will probably be sent down to the Hammerheads.

They days of teams using their allocation position to strong arm another club out of a lot of assets are over.
You basically negotiate in good faith or MLS pushes it through. That much is clear post McBride. They might as well scrap the system next CBA as it's already a joke.
I think Prizby is bang-on. First rounder, Garber bucks, etc...

mere gossip, but TFC trying to hijack Lampard move to NYCFC
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Im starting to wonder how much Garber bucks we got last year if we can show interest in Jones and Lampard.
I'm just being optimistic but who knows.
Work your magic Bez!!

Regarding Jones, I'd be happy with a 1st round pick and allocation.
If Vancouver keeps Laba (which would suck), and we end up with another 1st round pick and allocation, we could conceivably go into the off season with SIX 1st round picks and a shitload of allocation.
Gilberto out for a 36 year old Lampard? Not happening. It's not possible unless he takes non-DP salary.
Just looking at this last draft and I have to say.. even with the 4 picks that we've got stashed, it's likely that we could walk away with at least 2 very decent players. Hagglund and Lovitz have both shown well so far this year and show how important it is to get some good players through the draft. Holding onto Chivas' and Portland's pick looks like we'll have two top 10, assuming we finish higher than that for once.
Speaking of the superdraft.. Is there any chance TFC could sign Larin has a homegrown player just because of where he was born or has that ship sailed?
Re: Lampard
Maybe acquiring Luke Moore wasn't enough to keep Defoe happy LOL
at this rate with all these rumors we can have ourselves a team that can compete in the lower half of the EPL or at least in the championship lol
Ok so one positive coming away from this game.
On my way back from 123 while waiting for the elevator Bez came through the door to the stairs talking to a man in an expensive suit. He said, and I quote, "I can't have you coming to games and being so public with people in England - I can't have rumours flying around."
Lampard on loan from Man City or NYCFC am I just getting ahead of myself. If this does happen it would have to be a Julio Cesar type of situation.
That sounds like he's talking to an agent.
Lampard...no thanks.
Nah, we'd end up with another version of Gerrard and Lampard, with Bradley playing the Scouser.
