Orr might not want to get too ahead of himself - 10 games into the season, he may be glad he has an excuse to return to England. Just kidding, of course.

Wonder why a guy would aim for a league (or team) that has a bias against paying for (but is certainly ok with blaming) performance on the back line?

So Bradley pulled out of the USMNT friendly due to a minor injury that he wants to make sure is healed before the season kicks off. Is anyone else concerned about the degree of frequency the players seem to be picking up knocks? Is it the new training regime? One major injury is really all we need at this point for this season to be toast.

I'm hoping these moves are more precautionary than anything... Not worth risking anything for a pre-season or friendly game.

Because this like Defoe's "injury" isn't real. This is done all the time when meaningless friendlies interfere with meaningful club matches.

The downside for combining injuries with pressure to win is whether the roster can be managed well enough to give guys needed breaks.

Unless Spurs have been lying since August, Defoe's injury is real. Just don't think it's serious.

odd that he is full training for England today. I think it was a precaution.

It's been ongoing. Like I said, I don't think it's serious. If Spurs needed him back in October/November, he probably would have been playing regularly even with it. Playing with one striker they were able to not play him.

Was thinking of Darren O'Dea after seeing him post something on twitter. Not sure if he is still in Donetsk or back in Ireland for national team duty. Donetsk is in eastern part of Ukraine, pro-Russian protesters just took over the regional gov't building there.

Yeah it's pretty crazy. He might need a new club soon.

I just saw that the Ukrainian league suspended play Feb 26, so I assume he's back in Ireland. It's anybody's guess when it will start up again.
