Tough to see Laba go for the season but atleast he's still in Canada, in the league, and still "belongs" to Toronto. Hopefully he gets playing time on new coach Robinson's team and continues to grow.

Anyone know if the loan rule that the loaned player cannot play against his parent club applies in MLS?

I believe that would be up to club negotiation, it's not a league rule.

Bez deserves a lot of kudos for pulling this off.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

Can't wait to see what this loan deal is all about.

wonder if there will be a buyout clause?

MLS has had an intraleague loan rule in place since 2013, but only players 24 years of age or younger are eligible. All loans run through the end of the MLS season, and the player reverts to his original club only after MLS Cup.

I don't see the poll. Either on mobile or desktop.

All this talk makes me feel ill.

......nevermind, got it now. Obviously voted NO.

Roof expansion yes, but not at this cost.

I hope Weeds manages to find his scoring boots one of these days - because we could be seeing a LOT more of him than we initially thought this season. All it takes is for one of our forward DPs to go down....scary thought.

One of mildly amusing MLS tidbits. The Coffee Pot Cup is award to the winner of game between DC and Charleston. The losing team supporters fill it with beer and give it to the winning team supporters. And yes, it's a real coffee pot

“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Former MLS bigwig Nelson Rodriguez appointed president of Chivas USA by MLS. That is a serious, solid move. More than a caretaker.

Surprised no one has talked about Bright Dike being off the Nigerian team for the World Cup.
