Any injury is bad, but Dike's bothers me more than anyone else's would.

He is (was?) my kind of player, the type of MLS player I love, seems to be a genuinely good guy, and sooooo agonizingly close to breaking out and getting paid.

He's older, even if he comes back, he may not be the same player, and the chance for bigger things may not come again.

    Just heartbreaking.

Yep, can't imagine what he's going through right now. I still question whether he actually would have made Nigeria's WC squad, but now, he'll never have that chance to find out. And this was going to be a breakout season in MLS for him. Just a really unfortunate situation all around. I wish him the best in his recovery, and it isn't an impossibility (although unlikely) that he could still have a part to play in our playoff push.

    I LOL'd:

Can anybody stop Toronto FC?That is a sentence few in Major League Soccer would have bothered to utter at any point during the club’s seven years in the league, unless of course it was followed by the phrase “from embarrassing itself?”

This is terrible for Bright. I feel really awful for him.
From a selfish point of view this is a disaster.
Our depth up front is gone as well as our "plan B" direct option is gone.

Is this the first domino in a Blue Jay 2013 style season? Oh God don't even think it.

You know it is. We should all just lower our expectations now so that the inevitable self-destruction won't hurt so bad.
