Default Match thread TFC vs. DC United 7 PM Feb 5

    Live stream available here:

    http://www.torontofc.ca/live

TFC will be without 2 of our DPs. This is a good chance to see the quality of the rest of the squad.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

Can't wait to see Bradley in a TFC kit. Still can't believe we signed him.

Not sure exactly what we are going to see but I would expect that they are going to use Dero as a striker as opposed to a wide player. He simply doesn't have the legs to play that spot anymore and he doesn't track back, something Nelsen is very picky about his wide players doing.

I expect us to put out a more or less starting lineup for 45 mins, and then switch out pretty much everyone for a bench 45 in the second half.

I thought Frei got injured again in that collision
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

I haven't really been keeping up and this preseason really snuck up on me. Where's Gilberto?

My heart sunk a little for him..

though he isn't the starting keeper for seattle.

he did have some good plays...

San Jose has some work to do.

Sorting out visa issues. Jackson as well.

He almost certainly is. I can't see Seattle preferring a 41 year-old Hahnemann over him.

well according to the Seattle announcers they seem to consider Hahnemann the starter. Frei has barely played in two years.

Unless that knock he took today is more serious than it seemed and Frei's bad luck has bit him again.

I say DCU wins 1-0 with an 86th minute goal based on a defensive error a la Logan Emory.

Too bad the first team isn't playing for part of this. I'd really like to have a look at them, and really think Nelsen should be using as many games as possible to help this team gel before the season starts

Watching the Columbus game... If TFC is playing at the same facility we could have some visibly issues... Pretty foggy.
