Which side of the field does he actually play on? If I'm not mistaken Convey was on the left.. if he's on the right wouldn't he be replacing Rey? Also Ecks is an RB, Bloom and Elmer LBs but people in here have them playing on the right? I didn't watch most of last season but I can't imagine they resorted to playing people on opposite sides.

Jackson primarily plays on right side, though he has played on the left, and even middle once in a while.

Rey and convey would switch sides a fair amount last season... Rey often looked more dangerous on the left side because of his ability to cut in and get a right footed shot off.

So sounds like Jackson is a good addition.

It's too bad about Earnshaw. However if he was going to be making that kind of money sitting on the bench it's better that the role is given to Weeds and Welshman. The only thing i'm worried about is if we get caught with egg on our face with these DPs. If by chance we don't get any of them in were really thin up front. Unless they are looking at taking a guy like Cooper who is available.

But atleast were getting our business done in December and not March. Atleast we seem to be on point to have a solid squad running into the preseason.

I was hoping he would be a domestic but he isn't according to transfermarkt.

i am putting my faith in that TL will deliver. based on the upturn in speculation seems to be going in a positive direction. if they drop the ball on this well, idk LOL. You are right tho, still risky.

btw I would love for nelson to play a 4-2-3-1 and have 5 midfielders with a lone striker formation. Sign a true DP Am with a DP striker, but just not his style. he is married to the 4-4-2/4-4-1-1

Add another winger like Chavez, Zakuani or even Convey resigning would be ideal.
Add a vet or two like Logan Pause, Arnaud, De Ro,
Get ahold of Pearce, or trade for Ike Opara, Purdy, Orouke something like that to shore up defense.
    + two DP forwards.
    Not bad at all

On an aside... Chavez and Jackson down the wings...some old FC Dallas flavour.

List of Re-Entry players released: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/articl...re-entry-draft

Some interesting names on the list, I expect Bez will make some moves.

My shopping list for the rest of the season is:
    2 strikers
    1 central mid
    1 fullback
    1 center back

Then we should be on our way to a competent MLS roster.

The guy on that list that I have always admired is Brandon McDonald. A great stud CB. A bit expensive though.

Hopefully Nana Attakora is one of players coming to TFC. Not sure how should I feel if TFC pick up DeRo from draft. What's story on Ferreira?

    Fixed*

We're pretty much set on backline (just need one more CB). It's our midfield that is our weakest link.

Two strikers going to be DP's. So I don't except TFC to get a striker from re-entry draft.

The first stage is rough because you never know what type of crappy options are built into some of these contracts.

If the contract ran out, then you can get them for last years salary...

Means a lot of these guys will be heading to Stage 2 folks...

didn't see Franklin there, that would be massive addition to back line - we carried 3 rb's last season, whats one more?

Gspurning out at Seattle and Jimmy Nielsen just announced his retirement. Might be Stefan's chance to get out and land somewhere in a starting role.

LOL, if he actually would snub us for Chivas or living in Washington, then he can go fuck himself. I take this article with a grain of salt.

A comment I read suggested the author of the original Guardian article seemed to just be guessing potential MLS destinations, and I'm inclined to agree. L.A. and Seattle both have all three DP slots filled, D.C. and Chivas are worth a good laugh. Besides Eto'o eyeing MLS after this year, which may very well be true, I don't put any stock in anything else from this report.
