“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
The lambe is officially chopped
@torontofc: Toronto FC has placed midfielder Reggie Lambe on waivers. #TFClive http://t.co/OTq8kUcYeJ
Wonder what the next move is now that Lambe is finally gone?
How could Reggie be released when the Reds are in such need of depth?
Remember The Man, The Legend, The Goal 5-12-07 and All That #9 Left On The Pitch, Thanks For The Memories !!!
Interesting.....does that now leave us with 2 free international spots? Must be something incoming as no real need to release Lambe other than freeing up his Int'l spot. Since we already had one free from Laba does that mean 2 internationals coming in?
wonder if needed any space to officially sign draft picks. if not, i have to think someone requiring an international slot will be coming in shortly.
It's gotta be for freeing up an international spot IMO.
Nakajima-Farran incoming maybe?
Lambe had 3 years here to at least show promise, but he's never managed it. Good move.
hey guys, What happened to Elmer anyone know? Did I miss something?
really? hmm must of missed that.
So with Elmer gone as well...what is our international spot situation? 2? 3?
I think we only have 1 or 2 open slots now.
Remember when we had a solid core going into this year?
Lambe is gonzo. Im happy with this.
We currently only have 25 roster spots filled. That could go down to 22 if the three teenagers are sent to Willmington. Wonder if they are planning to sign Lovitz or Eze?
When a team is a sh*t as we've been and was failing at almost every position then a roster overhaul is basically the only thing that will help. You can only hang on to core members like Lambe, Russell, and Braun for as long as you want to be a bottom 4 squad.
On to the new core.
I still expect more forward movement from my wingers though. He had his back to the opponent's goal or was running towards ours 90% of the time. He killed all forward momentum whenever he touched the ball. You add him to Hall and you got one midfielder stalling play in midfield after having a counter attacking possibility and the other one supplying the other team with counter attacking possibilities with short and pointless passes.
Highly unlikely but I would love to see Camilo suit up for the reds.
