How could I not...a few months after he left I went to my very first match in England. White Hart Lane hosted Blackpool in a Carling Cup feature - the same tourney that Spurs ended up winning. Welsh subbed in for Blackpool around 70'. It might have been the shock, but I couldn't stop laughing.

Right now they only have 2 strikers, Solgado who isn't scoring yet, and Defoe who is only getting game time in smaller games (plus playing up front on his own isn't his game). Adebayor is so far out of the picture right now at Spurs he isn't worth considering. But they will make a move in Jan transfer window for a big name striker. No way Levy will want to miss CL 2 yrs in a row.

I highly doubt he would be heading there for a vacation so there must be a loan or training stint in the offfing.

Metro is reporting that Adebayor will receive £1.4m if he remains at Spurs past January. It would cost both Man City and Tottenham.

If this is true, seems to me Ade is much more of a priority to leave Spurs than Defoe. Unless, of course, whomever buys Defoe is also willing to eat part of that.
