Must be a slow news day.
'Rumours' of MLS switching to winter schedule
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
If MLS wants any TV ratings at all they do not go ahead with this. I do not doubt a Winter schedule could work logistically like in Germany, however, the league will get slaughtered going up against the NHL,NBA and NFL.

Report: MLS will adopt European schedule in 2014… Would August-May work?

So?? Winter games indoors for the teams from the north?
Update on the Ive's web page, straight from MLS: "'Rumors' is an appropriate way to classify (the report). MLS has reviewed many possible schedule formats throughout the years. We hope to announce soon, but the timing will be very similar to the current season."
That's a relief. Soccer in February in Germany is bad enough. It doesn't make sense here.
