Make no mistake about it: Toronto FC is mired in a slump.
The Canadian club was held to a 0-0 draw at home by the lowly San Jose Earthquakes Saturday afternoon, running its Major League Soccer winless streak to four games.
Toronto (6-6-4, 22 points) has not won since registering a 3-1 decision over the Colorado Rapids on June 14.

TFC can't capitalize

It must have been the stifling heat -- 30C and sweltering humidity -- that made yesterday's Major League Soccer match between Toronto FC and the San Jose Earthquakes excruciatingly hard to watch and harder to play. The 0-0 result, however, had little to do with the heat, the humidity or the rain, as TFC coach John Carver made abundantly clear after the match in front of 20,264 at BMO Field.
