He's not a bad defender by any means... but paying that much for a defender in MLS is a lil nuts.

Not really surprising though... If we hadn't got rid of O'Dea, I am sure TFC would have had 2/5, which is not a good sign...

More interesting salary analysis from that same site: http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com/2...ts-and-tables/

After all the cost-cutting TFC still has the 8th highest salary, but 17th on the points table.

I thought this Club Selector (linked in MLS's Kick Off article) was pretty funny. Of course I got Vancouver .

Koev's contract takes a large chunk of that. Take that away and we're the smallest.

Haha I got TFC actually which I thought was pretty funny. This is what I got at the end

    "Leeroy Jenkins

Got your parachute with you? We set the bar high for MLS fandom when we entered the league in 2007, so each game feels like a free-fall until the 90th minute.

Okay let's do this. Leeerrooyy Jeennkkiinnsss."

Looking at all the wages and breakdowns - gets me thinking about the collective agreement that is up (in 2015?). I can really see the players union pushing for a lot of changes to bring the league up to comparison to other world leagues. Chances of a strike or void season, are definitely fairly high. Anybody agree?

I had the same concerns. The timing is brutal for us too. Assuming we are competitive and pushing for play offs next year, 2015 might be the year where we are definitely in a play off picture so it would be devastating if there are any disruptions.

We are actually the lowest salary team in the league without Koef's contract? Wow, that's a big change if true.

I 'hope' that the league and players can agree on one thing prior to negotiations - ANY WORK STOPPAGE will have a huge chance of KILLING THE LEAGUE...

It took several markets in Major League Baseball years to recover. And that's "America's Pastime" and part of their culture...

I agree with you, major changes are going to be sought by the players - but please, for the love of the sport, even if you have to negotiate for a couple of years - while playing under the old deal, DO NOT HAVE A WORK STOPPAGE!

    Will not do it.

I did one for "What superhero are you most like?"

It was as ridiculous as your result.

I'd like to make a new selector:

    Step 1. Get map
Step 2. Measure to closest team
    Step 3. Support your local.

totally agreed, it would be a disaster for the league to have a stoppage at that point in time. I really hope they are all sensible about it.

I got the Impact the first time, then Philadelphia, then Toronto the next two tries. You can actually get Toronto as a desired outcome at least 3 different ways.

Can't link it because it's behind the paywall but G&M is reporting that glen silvestri left MLSE at the end of July.

Tom A. must be feeling really comfortable right about now...

Perpetuating stereotypes about what makes up a team's fan base seems like a weird way to grow your general fan base.

^ Well, if you like skydiving, then apparently you'll most likely end up a TFC fan.

I guess if you like skydiving they figure you'd get a kick out of TFC's 7 year free fall....
