Default Matchday 19: Toronto at Chivas USA, Wed 17 July, 1030pm

    Battle of the losers!

Chivas USA sucks, but they have been better defensively since El Chelis got fired. I miss that dude a lot.

And TFC will lose again? At least Osorio will be back for this game.

They'll lose this one due to jet lag and the next one due to fatigue from the midweek game.

One of the few winnable road games for TFC. Can they get 3 points? Probably not. But hey, by the time the game rolls around hopefully we'll have something to talk about in terms of player signings.

I expect a draw. Why not?

Draw 0-0 with nothing notable happening in the game, other than some grass growing in the 18 yard box at both ends. Both teams set up to "not lose" in the battle for the basement.

Two days is a long time at TFC!

Could be a whole new team by then so who knows what will happen on the day.

^ Agreed. Could be a whole different team. Atleast were getting back our Gold Cup squad. That alone we should be able to squeeze out a result. I'm thinking we get a 2-1 win.

Osorio was really missed on Sat. Will be nice to have him back for this game.

Get Ecks back to his best side, lets give Bloom a go, see what he's got to offer. Russel has done enough to warrant another start in place of Hall in the middle (just about!).

Since kids are back from CMNT.... might as well play Morgan on the wing instead of LB

Is Koev able to play this game? If so, lets go all out attack and get him the ball. Osorio-Koev could be an exciting combo. Osorio is a player who could actually do something with those nice layoffs that Koev gives and isn't scared to make shit happen on the attack. I know it will be Russell starting in midfield, but I wish we'd give Bekker a go in his natural position. He's never going to improve his game if he never plays, and the season is a write off at this point anyways.

    Eckersley - Henry - Caldwell - Morgan
    Laba - Bekker

If this was on the weekend, I certainly wouldn't. But it's Wed. night at 10:30 pm so....might as well.

Koev is out with a calf injury.

It'll be interesting to see how motivated Morgan is to play again. Season is over. He knows he's an afterthought and was replaced by a CB who has since been punted. He also looked bad at the Gold Cup.

Not exactly an ideal situation for a comeback.

I'm sure we'll see Russell in the starting 11. I think this might end up uglier than the KC game.

So was Henry suspended for 2 games or does the KC game not count because of Gold Cup or ???

Henry didn't play in KC due to Gold Cup. Suspensions are served in the same league/tournament where it was issued.

I don't want to be the dude who says the p word but if this team is even thinking of playoffs this is a must win. Can't drop points against one of the worst in the league in the position we're in, even playing away.

Henry should be down for 2 because it is his second red of the season, isn't it?

    From MLS Disciplinary Committee:

Players suspended from MLS League Season games (regular season or playoffs) that are called in for national team duty will have their suspensions held in abeyance until they return to their MLS Club. Further, MLS Clubs will be responsible for informing the League Office of a player’s selection to national team duty.
I could find nothing of a two games for 2nd red.

Has anyone asked Asif yet? He usually knows these things ahead of time.
