    Default Add Whoever

If you could add a player to the TFC roster, money and all other things no object, who would you like to see in red.

For me, Gareth Bale would be a nice addition to the squad. :@)

    Just for fun !!!

EDIT: scrap that, either would probably tear this league up.

There have been some great suggestions (fantasies I suppose) and one player I can picture playing in MLS because I think he is gritty and he can score spectacular goals is Tevez. Maybe I have already visualized this because of the fanciful rumours earlier this season. Obviously RVP, Suarez and others would likely do so as well but for some reason I can picture Tevez filling the net and BMO rocking.

I'd love to see Andrea Pirlo play for us. He's a dead ball specialist, a deep lying playmaker who can carve a team apart with one beautifully weighted incisive pass, and he seems to bring out the best in the players around him. I think he'd bring out the best in both Earnshaw and Koevermans. He'd be a great teacher for Silva, too, and I think we'd see Laba being a little less frustrated. Also, if you're looking for a player to put bums in seats, it'd be difficult to find a more enticing player than a guy who's played for both Milan teams and is now with Juventus.

OP (Leedsoronto), you said roster, money and other things are no object.
Then this is an awesomely simply equation to solve:

    Messi and Ronaldo.
    Nothing more, nothing less.

We could have the most fucking stinking defense in MLS, an average midfield by MLS standards, but we would still score more goals 75% in all games than we would be scored on.

Suarez?!?! Hell no! All he will end up doing is biting everyone's ears! He was in his prime when he played for Ajax. His move to Liverpool worked out for Ajax... Liverpool is cursing the day they signed him!

Van Persie would be awesome, but we would need a strong no-nonsense GM to keep him in line.

I think Balotelli would be run out of prudish Toronto "The Good" within three hours of arriving.

Lionel Messi would probably be my top pick right now. Heck, any of the last few years World XI players would be a dream signing. Falcao would be something to see here in Toronto I'll say that much!

Good topic, but for added difficulty why not try with current MLS players only?

Martin Brittain... And if we could bring back Andy Welsh that would be nice. He scores great goals when it rains.

But only if we're playing Houston.

The obvious players have been said, but personally I would love to have Luka Modric controlling things in that middle.

And got to have my main man Lombardo up top
