Uggh yeah, it feels like a close call between those two, both cringeworthy, but L'IMPact wins out out of proximity/animosity

Sorry...I want Vancouver to keep alive their string of NEVER having played in the CCL.

Then, I want some Mexican powerhouse to destroy Montreal in the group stage. Monterrey would be nice...the L'Imp Act just might get truly motivated if they played Santos Laguna again.

I actually want whatever Canadian team gets in to do very well so CONCACAF gives Canada better seeding in the future.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

I think we all wish that was Edmonton if not us... :-)

Chavez has his suspension reduced to one game. Officiating in this league is just

Would like to know how they justified that appeal. I guess it was unintentional when he bent over then swung his elbow into Emory's head.

^I think MLS is mad at Payne for exposing them about refs, so this might be their way of getting even?

Kind of troubling to hear that he hasn't spoken with Nelsen in a month.

We are in agreement with that, however, after the "bad" game in Montreal will be cheering for the Whitecraps!

I would take Edmonton over us because it would so raise the profile of FCE and hey, Edmonton fucking rocks! Nicest 'big' city I have ever been to. (it is over 1m so I figure it counts as big?)

If the winters weren't so incredibly brutal I would live there in a heartbeat. (you know you can't even leave beer outside at house parties to keep them cold? They EXPLODE!)

This is the kind of shit that pisses me off so much, does no one understand the value of communication? This is not a good sign at all, how do you go a month without telling a player what you expect to start in the lineup, seriously. I'm not going to say Nelson is a bad coach yet because its soon, but this type of behaviour usually leads to players feeling alienated and starting disharmony. Both Preki and Mariner did this, they ended up playing there favourites and look how they ended up. In MLS you need strong man management skills, your going to have to use all your players to succeed and this is not the way to handle players.

This isn't that rare in soccer to occur. I've heard of numerous cases where the coach will go for a month without talking to a player, either in the epl or other leagues. I don't know if it works or not, but what Nelson is doing isn't that unusual.

^Also the fact he could be communicating through his assistants. Some players need hand holding, some need space. It's definitely too soon to talk about Nelsen style since it's pretty new to him as well.
