Love rainy days, its an excuse for the West side to stand up! Maybe I'll try some of the chants again. And please, no "west side stand up". Its even worse when they already are.

No, but it wouldn't hurt to have people pay attention to the game. This is not all of west side, just my section.

There most certainly is. We don't stand in the south end because we have a bad view of the pitch. It's all about full 110% support for the team. Non-stop singing, chanting, jumping, for the entire 90 minutes. Just as the players are expected to leave it all out on the pitch, so are we as supporters, expected to leave the grounds having sung ourselves hoarse.
Having said that though, if you're not going to do anything once you stand up then there is no point to standing. So I do agree that the "west/east side stand up" chant is annoying, but it's annoying to me because they just sit down right away. If people want to sit, fair enough, just stay out of the south end.
You forgot to mention drinking !! Other than that I agree with your point. I went to a Barcelona game last year and they don't stand all game only when there is a reson too.
