“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

    Power Rankings Week 7
Rankings seem a bit unfair considering the results, but with 5 teams on bye week, hard to make it fair. (Then again, power rankings are very subjective)

    1. Los Angeles
-Meltdown in last 10 mins vs Monterrey ruined a good CCL game for LA, but for 80mins, showed why they are one of the best teams in MLS

    2. Houston
-Losing 2-0 to a bottom team like Portland is not good.

    3. Dallas
-Almost played a great away game except for giving up 2 goals in last 5 mins of the game.

    4. Sporting Kansas City
-Played horrible, but still managed to win and keep a clean sheet vs DC.

    5. Montreal
-Picked up an intriguing Argentinian teen prospect. Slowly laying foundation for a decent MLS team.

    6. Chivas USA
-I can't wait to see what hilarity Chelis brings this week.

    7. Vancouver
-Needed a gaff from SJ to get a point.

    8. San Jose
-Needs to teach their players the laws of the game. On the other hand, Wondo scored, and Gordon and Lenhart came back from injury.

    9. Columbus
-That 3 on none breakaway Columbus gave up for Philly goal was hilarious.

    10. Seattle
-Lack of depth at striker position is exposed and faces a mountain to get a result at Torreon for CCL.

    11. Real Salt Lake
-Couldn't beat an injury ridden Colorado team. Saborio had a shocker of a game.

    12. Philadelphia
-I don't know what to expect from Philly. Most of the time, it's not good.

    13. Portland
-Ryan Johnson's coming out party for Portland gets a huge result vs Houston.

    14. Colorado
-Scrappy win against a rival. Clint Irwin may be newcomer of the year at this rate.

    15. New York
-Thierry Henry won't be happy losing against a shitty Chicago team.

    16. Toronto
-Did well to get a draw after 2 goals down, but lack of midfield chemistry is a concern.

    17. Chicago
-Massive win against New York, buying some time for Klopas.

    18. DC United
-DC's attack is hopeless, esp with DeRo out injured.

    19. New England
-Jay Heaps need a result badly. May get one against a floundering Seattle team.

    Dallas supporters.

Great play by George John to score; he had already scored when some wingnut threw a bottle and hit him.

Watched the DC vs NYRB and RSL vs Whitecraps game...

Thienry Henry still has it - much slower but still confident. Was good seeing Dero getting some minutes, still plays with his heart. Plata was disallowed an offside goal good seeing him as well.

Wow, and we thought our game vs. Philadelphia was rough.. A number of reckless and bad tackles in the San Jose vs. Portland game. Gordon got sent off for elbowing Silvestre while jumping for the ball, drawing blood. Can also be seen mouthing 'faggot' at Will Johnson. Glad he's not playing for TFC anymore and hope the league comes down strong on him, hopefully mroe than a three match ban.

Man I loved Gordon when he was at TFC - but not anymore. Hope the league comes down on him hard.
