Loved the Dynamo/FCD promos. The game lived up to the hype too.

All in all I found MLS Rivalry week to be a success. Though I'm curious to know how the "red-zone" type viewing went in the US.

Not many awesome goals... di Vaio being the classiest one I suppose

Liked Di Vaio's goal but had to give it to Eddie Johnson. Watching that game live that goal really changed the tempo. Seattle was having a tough time figuring Portland out. The steal/run/cross by Zakuani was fantastic. Calm finish by EJ, even if he didn't know if he was going to cut in front or go behind the defender.

    My power ranking

    1. Montreal
-9 pts in 3 games. Nuff said

    2. Vancouver
-Reo Coker may be the signing of the season. And Mattocks haven't even started scoring yet

    3. Los Angeles
-Needs to start putting away poor sides like Chivas USA when a man up.

    4. Seattle
-One eye on CCL, league form is starting to suffer. Hoping Martins will click immediately.

    5. Real Salt Lake
-Needs to find consistency again and some other striker to start scoring other than Saborio, or else they will slip down the ranking.

    6. Houston
-Getting destroyed on set piece, a Dynamo specialty, makes Kinnear angry.

    7. Sporting Kansas City
-Losing 3 key players and waiting for their replacement to jell properly is taking more time than expect.

    8. Dallas
-Topsy turvy. One week, lets Chivas USA win, then the next, puts 3 past MLS Cup finalists

    9. San Jose
-Yallop has no plan B when Lenhart, Gordon are injured and Wondo is not scoring.

    10. Philadelphia
-Former Man U man Kleberson to Philly in exchange for Adu? Intriguing...

    11. Columbus
-Higuain is probably the best playmaker in the league. But Columbus has no one else who can step up if Higuain gets injured or loses form.

    12. Chivas USA
-I don't know how he does it, but Chelis has Chivas USA playing motivated and getting results.

    13. DC United
-Someone better start scoring, or things will start to go down to shits in DC.

    14. New England
-Nobody is noticing New England right now, which is just exactly what Heaps want.

    15. New York
-Henry is going to lose his shit soon, if NY doesn't start playing as a team.

    16. Toronto
-Can't rely on other teams to keep making mistakes in order to get goals.

    17. Portland
-When will Portland start playing defence?

    18. Chicago
-Something has gone really wrong in Chicago, supposedly an Eastern Conference contender

    19. Colorado
-Matt Pickens out for 3 months is not what Colorado needs right now

Interesting, so Kinnear whines about the game, and Cooper's winning goal where he controlled the ball with his arm: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/articl...y-loss-sometim

What Kinnear failed to mention, is that another goal that Dallas scored in the 40th minute, yet was waved off due to offside, wasn't even close to offside & should have counted.

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined New England Revolution midfielder Juan Toja an undisclosed amount for embellishment intended to deceive the referee in the 42nd minute of the game against Philadelphia Union on March 16.

I suppose technically belongs in the Week 3 thread, but I see Troy Perkins' save from Earnshaw won save of the week.

Montreal up 1-0 on NYRB right now at the half...

Looks like Montreal has a real shot at starting the season with 4 straight wins.

I don't know why Jesse Marsch had Bernier riding the bench for the first part of last year... the man plays beautifully. Distributes the ball well and breaks up plays. He's having a great year so far.

Credit to Montreal on the great start.
