Question: what's your favorite position to play?
Urruti: forward
Translator: he likes to play in the front, inside the 18 yard box, but also enjoys going back and retrieving balls from the defense.
Urruti: que???

That's why you gotta check out my interviews with Laba and Rey! I, along with a pair of native Spanish speakers, translate my exclusive interviews properly and triple check to make sure everything is spot on in terms of word use and context
I'll be chatting with Urruti the first chance I get which may be training next week so keep an eye out for the first proper interview.
He's not a great translator, no, but then again, he's a fucking TRAINER
Toronto FC baby...best team everrrrrrrrrr -Jozy
I bet the trainer is loving this right now... talk about job security.
I remember watching Marcelo develop his "translation style" over the years. He has gotten much better believe me, has developed his own style. Always throws in extra shit that the player never said but doesn't go crazy with it. He is actually a very nice guy, super down to earth. I think he will get a little extra bonus $$$ come Christmas time
I'm going to ask because I have an inquisitive mind and I dont think acquiring Urruti will be enough, but I wanna know about the rest of the team:
--------------------------Bendik-----------------------
---------------------------Frei------------------------
-------------------------Roberts-----------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
Eckersley--------Henry-----------Caldwell-------Morgan
Richter----------*Bloom----------Agboss----------Elmer
-------------------------------------------------------
Rey--------------Laba------------Osorio--------Convey
Lambe------------Hall------------Russell---------Bekker
---------------M.Thomas------M.Apparacio------------
------------------------------------------------------
----------------Earnshaw---------Urruti---------------
----------------Weideman-------Koevermans----------
-----------------*Brockie---------Braun---------------
---------------------------------Welshman------------
IMO, the needs are:
- a starting attacking midfielder possibly a DP, and switch to a 4-2-3-1.
- a starting centre back and use Henry as a backup or stick with the same backline with Henry and Caldwell pairing with Agboss as the back up.
- a starting left winger and use Convey as a backup.
- a backup tall forward with some level technical skill, no more using Braun as the viable backup. Maybe keep him as a 3rd option.
- a backup central midfielder, for Darrell Russell.
- a backup centre back.
- probably going to need a backup goalkeeper, if TFC can get anything for Frei.
You're allowed 20 players on contract that count against the cap. I dont know if you can fit all the players under the cap but there's still work to be done in order to have viable depth on the roster. The team is still looking for consistency in the quality of play, right now they're just barely looking like they are capable of playing together.
With Urruti now signed - do we think that they will also signed this other "promised" player? Any ideas who it might be? I assume an AM, but I really don't know who it could be.

Libertadores champion, Ronaldinho has plans to play football in the U.S. in 2014. The gypsum of the half devises a plan to take the player to the American League once his contract with Atletico-MG finish - the link ends in December this year. The possible departure of Ronaldinho for the American soccer undermines the chance of the athlete go to the 2014 World Cup, as the distanciará further Radar Scolari.
LA doesn't. NY has 1
Is he very old....
To be honest with you, I haven't heard anything about another player coming in next week. Know of one possible transfer but its a January one (contractual obligations). It's been in the works for quite a while now. We land that player, we will be seeing tons of asses back in BMO seats. Barring injuries, the on-field product will quickly improve.
EDIT: And it's not Ronaldinho. Although that would be quite fascinating.
Ronaldinho is older than soccer. And if he has dreams of playing in the WC again, he's smoking some of that good Mexican stuff.
he hasn't been "young" since he was 29... His game is just old looking.
Contracts expiring in 2014:

I think a playmaker striker (SS/AM) is the last piece of Nelsen's system that we don't have yet. There are areas like left wing that could potentially be upgraded, but Convey at least fulfills that role of LW in Nelsen's system whereas there is no one on the roster to play up top and be a creative presence. Ronaldinho would be able to fill that role, although I'm not sure Nelsen would be able to handle his lack of workrate. Forlan is also a player that fills that role. I think they will push to get a Ronaldinho, Kaka, or Forlan next year to be that player.
I'd say Ronaldinho is over the hill. He shows flashed of brilliance, but had a lacklustre Copa libertadores run, even though his team won, thanks to there star forward. If he comes to TFC, he will play half-assed and unmotivated. He's notorious for coming late to practices and partying all night. He's too undisciplined and worse that he's old. He'll get pissed if you sub him off, but he doesn't have the legs to play a full game. I'd say MLSE keep concentrating on Forlan, Kaka, or even Drogba, if he's interested in playing in MLS.
I'd be very surprised if Kaka doesn't go to an MLS Orlando team for 2015.
Very happy to end the week with Urutti signing with TFC. It's a great signing in my opinion. But I hope we will all allow him a bit of time to get used to the team and the league. He's a very skilled player, but without proper service, and having to get to know a new team and league, I think it's only fair we allow him a bit of time before we rate him as a signing/player. I'm a little concerned about this due to the hype and how long we had to wait for him to sign. We look ahead to 2014, not play-offs 2013, so let's make the lad feel welcome, and hopefully we'll be able to get the very best out of him.
Here's an interesting player with a contract expiring then to speculate over:

Fits the bill; south american style, very productive, good value but not over the top, league similar to mls.
24 goals, 19 assists in 77 games as an attacking midfielder, Venezuelan international, perfect DP type player.
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
