Larson says its expected to be official prior to Saturdays game so we'll see....
Not sure I agree with this. Remember that NOB is under administration so dealing with them is a bitch as a result.
Bringing in Laba from from Juniors wasn't a big problem.
I'm sure if we had tried to bring in someone from the Glasgow Rangers we'd have to cut through similar red tape.
We can do a lot better than Mike Grella. He was wayyyy down the depth chart when Leeds was in League One and looked like shit compared to Tressor Kandol who's now now playing on a 7th division London team. Plus he has an apparent attitude problem, but that might have subsided since reality must have hit the kid like a ton of bricks.
I'd take a look, but not for anymore than Lambe money.

So it should not really come as a surprise that Koevermans was quoted on Sport-Promotion saying, "My contract expires and then I will return with my family to the Netherlands."
Rangers players moved relatively easy when they rejected the newco, most of them had officially signed for a new team in a month with no fee involved. Dealing with South American teams appears to be different ball game altogether. This deal has been dragging on now for months.
Hopefully now there is light at end of tunnell
Theres a reporter in Argentina making few posts on twitter past few minutes seems like its resolved now.... Will post them in a second

Topic Urruti solved ...
Jorge Mazza, president of Sacred Heart: "It was an agreement Urruti. AFA sends the afternoon empowerment and manages in Toronto"
Jorge Mazza at # Estadio3: "Urruti free will to Toronto and the MLS will indemnify NOB"
Jorge Mazza at # Estadio3: "Sacred Heart gave up his debt to NOB, we now expect that someone will recognize something"
I like how he always talks to the Dutch media first. Oh well. Thats disapointing, we dont know if the club offerrd him a contract yet. Its hard for someone to take a 90% wage cut, in any field.
Was Payne likely to be wanting to keep him around, at a lower salary?
Doubtful
I suggest his agent probably asked if a new contract would be negotiated and was told that was unlikely.
I personally wish Koevs nothing but the best when he returns to the Netherlands. Injuries aside, he had the best strike ratio in the history of our club, and he was all class during his tenure.
All the best to Koevs moving onward. It's a shame he got ruined by that carpet in New England.
I thought this too, or maybe it was more wishful thinking. I thought he might even be open to taking on a coaching position, he has a lot he can teach.
I do agree that being dismissive of him is shitty. He was pure class here and delivered more than any other player in a TFC jersey.
Good luck Koevs!
I am not dismissive of him personally, he was good when he played. But I am also not fawning over him, he was clearly out of shape on several occasions and was at best (being generous here) slightly out of shape for preseason last year.
This means TFC will have 2 DP slots. So next year, TFC might sign two big name players if Urruti doesn't count as a DP.
